Is it true that Chuck Lavine was one of only two asembly people to vote against gasoline tax relief for New York drivers?
It doesn't matter. The residents in Nassau are more then happy to not only pay obscene property taxes but are more then giddy to pay high petro for the autos. Don't even try to rationalize the mindset of Nassau residents, it's akin to looking into a blackhole.

He sure did. See for yourself http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=A11331 . I guess he wants to force cops on stakeouts to turn thr engines off so his clients can empty automatic weapons into thr heads.
500 Signatures

Whoever is running against Lavine, u lst need 500 good signatures and better have GC supprt.
Otherwise you're wasting your time on this site posting crap upon crap.

That's not a problem. I believe Landberg has 500 Dems in his election district alone. Remember he is an elected offical in Plainview. Think there are a few Dems there? Glen Cove makes up a very small part of the district. Anyway the secret there is to get them to not want to vote for Lavine. With his record that will be easy. Remember the Assembly Campaign committee won't be running this election. They kept the gloves on when helping Sidikman but KL and his supporters will take them off.
Expect a TKO for Kevie.

The bulk of active Democrats in the 13th are south of Jericho Tpke. The Suozzi Dems of Glen Cove will have no say if the committed dems of Plainview, Jericho, So. Syosset come out in a primary. If Suozzi drops out before Primary Day, Kevin will cruise. If not, he still has a good shot if he works his base. Dave S. lost because of complacency, not because Lavine was anything special.

Will Dave S., Shulroffs et al actively work for Kevin ?

You are forgetting something. There may be plenty of Dems in Plainview - but they don't vote. Plainview is notorious for low voter turnout. Generally only 1 in 10 bother to make it to the polls in off year elections, and that's on a good day. Plainview is the land of apathy. Nobody in Plainview cares about anything except getting thr kid to soccer, getting a better car than thr nghbor (even though they don't know thr nghbor's name) and getting the best possible parking spot at Shoprite even if it means running someone down. That's why Dave Sidikman (an apathetic assemblyman) lost his job to a man from Glen Cove.
(Oh, and if you are part of the Shulroff family, you will also care about keeping your politically connected jobs).
Wanna try an interesting experiment? Take a walk around Plainview and say a hearty hello to everyone you come across. Count the number of people who ignore you, the number of people who grunt in annoyance, and the number of people who actually smile and say hello back. Now try the same thing in Glen Cove, and you will better understand why Chuck Lavine is our current assemblyman.
Amazingly Simple

Simply amazed must have smoked too much dope with Chuck at Wisconsin.
The amount of registered Dems in GC is a fraction of what it is is in the southern part of the AD. If only a fraction of them drive thr SUV's to the polls on primary day, Kevin wins. Most GC Dems only come out for Tommy.
S. Gonzales Jr.

Most GC dems are registered Rep and Blank.

Most GC Dems are idiots. they keep electing us.
these guys were re-elected because Ralph Suozzi didn't run with a slate. Lets see what happens in 2007. Will Ralph run his own slate, cross endorse the Reps, or cross endorse the current board?
Play nice or pay the price. Could be huge changes in Tom Suozzi's home town in 2007, all courtesy of Cuz Ralphy.

Expect total frontal assault on Lavine from Langberg and friends. His client list will be in mailboxes all over the district. Don't think Ralph will have to choose between Steve and Chuck.

Ralph will stay neutral, but his supporters are backing Gonzalez. Primary between Langberg and Lavine will get ugly. Gonzalez will only have to wait and see what happens when the smoke clears. And where's there's smoke, there's fire! Langberg and Lavine are going to beat each other up big time.

Everyone should realized that Kevin is a Dennis Holland puppet. What does DH control. Only the biggest support group of familes of murder victims in the country. Lavine made his practice on defending some of the most brutal killers in NYS. Kevin was a dinner last month for this group with over 200 of its members. Guess what they were talking about? I bet it wasn't the menu.
Nasty campaign. You gotta bet Lavine wil be slaughtered. You got 2 guys who lost thr jobs because of Lavine and who have campaigned in the 13th AD together for about 15 years.
They got the issues, the money, and the anti-Suozzi crew to work the district. Watch out people not only will they expose Lavine as a pro-cop kiler, pro- terrorist, racist lawyer. They will expose the curruption that helped him win the last election.
Let the fun begin.
Langberg's Problem

He won;t be able to put together $1000 fo this campaign. It's a joke. All he wants is his job back at the BOE.
However

Will Billy B. give him his job back?

Don't be too sure. Kev will be able to run a very effective campaign. Lavine will be toast.

If 10% of Plainview residents turn out its a landslide. And as for Glen Cove just remember that Ralph Suozzi's father was a Sidikman supporter 2 years ago. There is some bad blood between that side of the Suozzi family and Lavine. It should be interesting to see how GC plays out.

Has Kevin actually filed with the BOE or is this all alot of horse sh*t, like most of the crap on this board?

Kevin only has to file financial information or or before July 15, and the petitions around that time, too. Nothing to "file" right now.
When did Chuck File

Has Kevin actually filed with the BOE or is this all alot of horse sh*t, like most of the crap on this board?
Chuck Lavine didn't file a thing until July 2004. Check the state web site. You guys love to make up rules and say people don't follow them. That is horse whatever. If you think the primary talk is just crap on this board I'll see you in a month when Kevin does his first "legally required" filing.
I guess the laws that Kevin should follow are different than the ones Lavine did in 2004. Please tell me one piece of paperwork Lavine filed before mid-july of the year he ran for the seat.
Believe me that Kevin's bid is for real and will be waged very aggressive. And the way you know its for real is the assult bng waged against him.
You got a campaign bng waged by two guys who know the 13th AD like the back of thr hand and have issues to raise. And believe me Lavine's client list is the last thing the party leaders are afraid of.
Political curruption and its use in electing Mr. Lavine is a very legitimate issue and one that will be discussed daily.
