The following quote from another sub-board on this site sums up all that is wrong with the Nassau GOP. G-d help us.

"Even now, Joe or someone at Post Avenue is calling this Sullivan and telling him to drop any plans to challenge Angie and if he knows what is good for him, he will listen and obey."

How do we fix this before we lose enough voters or young blood to be irrelevant?

Any thoughts?

Accept the fact that the poster is a "putz". A putz who probably doesn't know what's going on at 1 West, but who is probably right that Sullivan will first be subjected to gentle persuasion, then threats, and then a gift job.

You can fix it, but sending Sullivan checks - and making sure that Mondello knows that you are doing so. You can go to the conventiion and support Sullivan.

Sully is a great candidate and I'm glad to see who took on this endeavor.

I believe he's going to run the race "PAC-Free" that is accepting no money from special interest groups, no money from municipal employees and no money from businesses who do business or want to do business with the town.

He's buying five new pair of shoes though, his only campaign expense I believe he has in mind.

I should know, I tried to give him $1,000 and he wouldn't take it. He told me "Your Vote Is All The Contribution I Will Need."

Now isn't that refreshing!

I love the idea of a primary, and that a candidate will not take money (although that is a bit unrealistic, especially if he wins the primary because then Joe will run his campaign using lots and lots of $$$), but what are his qualifications. We know he is a volunteer fireman, which is a good thing, but what else is there? What makes him a great candidate? You can't beat an incumbent in a primary unless you spread the word. Let us help spread the word.
