Bellone appears to have inherited the aftermath of Rich Schaffer's poor and barely ethical approach to public policy. Having worked as an appointed official in both the Pitts and Schaffer administrations, I can attest to the turning point in the Babylon Dem's path to destruction.

It's time Babylon voters give Town Hall back to a group that is concerned about running a municipality like a business and not the utopia of patronage and opportunism that it's become. Entrenched power breeds corruption and in the same way voters kicked out the Noto regime with Pitts/Haugen/Kaufold, it's time for Babylon voters to kick out the Dems!

you are so correct. Schaffer was the mastermind of the Babylon five Scandal. He told Doug how to fudge the books. The only reason he was not indicted was that he never put his hand on anything. Why do you think the Town of Babylon has a Twenty year contract with the residential garbage carters at the highest rate on long island. Thanks to RICH SCHAFFER!!!
