Is it any wonder terrorists prefer New York?

Governor Pataki implemented Family Health Plus; a program providing comprehensive health coverage to illegal aliens.

Governor Pataki implemented unconstitutional gun legislation depriving citizens of their 2nd amendment rights.

The Pataki plan appears to be: HEALTHY ILLEGAL ALIEN TERRORISTS, HELPLESS CITIZENS.

I can't believe the original post on this thread. Is Dave implying that New York deserved what it got because of its liberal policies?

Or is he implying that terrorists also hate liberal politics?

I'm saying that because of the stated reasons Governor Pataki hurt our state and our great nation more than any terrorist attack ever could. NOBODY will ever beat America using force and terror. They may kill and injure our innocent citizens and our brave men and women in uniform and for this we all mourn and feel sorrow. But Governor Pataki attacked our second amendment rights and our rule of law by rewarding illegal alien lawbreakers. This treasonous behavior if unchecked will destroy America. We will never be beat by outside force, but elected treasonous tyrants who declare war on the founding principles of our great nation are the real threat to our republic.

I really agree with you, Dave.

Although we may see different points of view, I agree that America need not fear destruction from the external (Saddam, Osama, Pyongyang, etc.), but from the Tyrants of THIS country who declare war on the bill of rights (all ten amendments).

Miles, I do have to thank you for giving me a few good laughs. Again your zeal preceeds your brain. Are you really against gun control and against benefits for illegal aliens? If so, then maybe we have a lot more to agree on than I thought.

You can't just take up someone else's cry against Tyranny when their view of what is tyrannical is opposite yours. You can't use his anti gun control argument and use it to support your anti American, anti war stance, Miles.

Well, I suppose that I agree with the individual's right to own a gun. I'm just not sure why anyone would want to. In terms of defense, a knife (or many other objects) seems sufficient to me. I imagine the authors of the constitution were living in times where self defense was more of an issue in daily life. The British laws banning weapons for civilians didn't jive with how the colonists lived. But in general, I guess people have the right to own a gun. In the Academy Award nominated documentary "Bowling for Columbine", Charleton Heston says on camera that the reason there is so much violence (hence the need for guns) is because there are so many minorities in this country. Basically, he meant Mexicans, Black people, and probably any non-white Americans.

But yes, I agree with Dave's hatred of Tyranny

The point was, Miles, that when to people with diametrically opposing views of what constitutes tyranny both denounce tyranny they aren't exactly in agreement.

Skeptic,

I think Mylezylez understood dave quite well...

"We will never be beat by outside force, but elected treasonous tyrants who declare war on the founding principles of our great nation are the real threat to our republic." -dave

"Although we may see different points of view, I agree that America need not fear destruction from the external (Saddam, Osama, Pyongyang, etc.), but from the Tyrants of THIS country who declare war on the bill of rights (all ten amendments)." -Mylezylez

Ahem...I believe the acknowledgement of the differing points of view puts it pretty plainly. He understood what he was saying. I think you are the one who missed the point.
