As far as I can tell, Trickle-Down Economics benefits no one but rich (I am open to a counter-point).
The concept seems to have a few flaws. First and foremost, it relies on the generosity of the wealthiest 1% of America. Maybe giving them GIANT tax breaks will dissuade CEOs from moving their production plants to third world countries, or hiring illegal immigrants at below minimum wage.
