Any thoughts on Postal picking her finacee as top aide? I am an indy, but if a Republican did that it would be headlines, no?
Elie Mystal, a veteran Democratic operative and Postal's longtime aide to whom she is engaged. His $80,000 annual salary will remain unchanged.

Dear MaltMan,
Don't you know that it is proper netiquette to put "repost" if you post the same gossip on two message boards in the same venue? Really, wasting our time twice with your lies and agenda.
Speaking of agendas, you must be paid to attack Maxine, if you have the time to Post the same old stupid thing two times.
I wonder? Are you: running against her (and probably should not post anonymously?); one of those paid-Republican protestors (like in Florida); or, just jealous.
Either way, get a life.

Reply Maxine and Elie

The quote you posted proved that Ms. Postal was not giving Elie a raise, when others might have.
And, I believe that Elie worked for Maxine way before they fell in love. So, if there is a story, you got it all mixed up...she didn't give him a job BECAUSE she liked him. She probably fell in love with him as she watched what a good worker he was.
Furthermore, ANYONE would want to give Elie a job in politics. He is a genius. He certainly does not need any favors. Maxine (and the rest of us) is lucky to have someone so smart working in Long Island politics.
You know, he was one of the behind-the-scenes people in the very important and (small d) democratic Brookhaven Council Districts victory.

I apologize for not knowing how to use the message board. I was just interested in hearing people's opinions on the subject. I am an independent and not running for political office. Sorry to bother you.
