The average IQ of a Nassau County Young Republican is 14 to 40: the average ages is 14 to 25. After 25, they expect you to buy tickets just like everyone else.

How many are there today?
Back in the late '70's and early to mid '80's, the organization was large and vibrant with large contingents from Garden City, Massapequa, Baldwin, Bethpage and Floral Park. A number of current elected officials are former YR's from that era.
The good old days.

Yes, the good old days...
Nassau did have a large thriving YR group, as did Suffolk and NYS for a short time. Many of Suffolk's former YR"s have also go on to positions of note. Not only did YR's provide workers for elections and teach those skills but the internal YR politics was a tremendous training ground for what happens in the senior party - as tough as any in the upper ranks! YR leadership was not for the weak of heart!!
