ReDistricting in Suffolk

Please, someone tell me how Tonna , his staff (Walt Whitman HS Booster Club) and appointees (Jerry Asher, Paul's neighbor who helped him, a former Democrat, get the nomination ahead of party faithful 10 years ago) blew the redistricting in SC? Why aren't we building coalitions among Republicans? Now, I hope Paul suffers. I hope Maxi redistricts you right into Jon's home base. Keep up the good work Paul, Jerry and the Wildcats! Let's get someone in there who can deal with the realities of politics.

Yoy are right - but the one who orchestrated this is Pete McGowen- Pete wants to make Tony A look even worse that he already does. Pete wants his job- The sacraficial lamb is Angie Carpenter- she will be districted out- My theory is that Pete will become County leader and Angie will run for Town Supervisor-

VinnyBoom, you're very observant, but I don't think Pete will be county leader, I think it will be someone else, who is very bright, very well liked and knows how to win seats, but is not from anywhere near Islip. You're absolutely right about Angie. He is going to make an example of her and demonstrate his power in Islip. Someone should finally step up to the plate and primary him, even with all of his millions in his warchest. Republicans are growing more and more tired of him. Who knows what would happen once that curtain is closed. He can't see.

If you were a real "insider" you would know there is no redistricted map that Paul Tonna couldn't win and win big. Under Paul's leadership the last 3 years, there has been unprecedented accomplishments. Does the Republican agenda exclude successfully accessing state and federal funds such as EITC and food stamps thus saving county dollars. Pauls staff has helped thousands of people in this county. From the hard working middle class to the homeless, we cut through red tape and got results. I get the same satisfaction looking into the excited eyes of a kid in a motel when I handed her books and toys as I do when I help a developer get his permits so he can hire workers to build homes. Paul Tonna has always been ahead of the curve and if you wannabee's think for one moment that he is done then you're dumber than I think you are. I retired from the wildcat booster years ago after making it the most successful club of its kind in the entire state. Keep trying and eventually you will get something right. Unlike you anonymous cowards i'll sign this with my own name.

Uncle Ronnie - Two words for you- therapy. The subject was redistricting and how your boy couldn't do the most important political event every ten years. What are all those kids doing in motels anyway? They should be in homes or apartments. Perhaps your boy should have been involved in some of the major local land use projects - other than the one next to WW HS in his own hood. You let me know which parking lot and when. Bring a friedn, you'l need her.
