Joe Mondello ought to stop listening to Julie C. as he concocts plans for the revival of the defunct Nassau County GOP.

His latest, directing his Conservative-Republican minority to assist in the installation of the two most liberal members of the Nassau Legislature in leadership posts is the most recent in a string of his bizzare decisions. We see it blowing up in his face all over the place.

The previous one - deciding at a two-man dinner party to run the disgraced Greg Peterson as County Executive was digested just fine among the fat-ask-no-questions Executive Committee, but was thrown up in their faces by the voters of Nassau County.

The one before that, to stand with the State GOP as it used Communist-Style tactics to keep former Vietnam War Vet, POW and now U.S. Senator John McCain off the NY State Primary Ballot - even going so far as to tell Nassau Republicns that a vote for McCain is "ill advised", which good Nassau Republicans promptly stuck in his eye by voting for McCain by a margin of almost 2-1.

The one before that, lining up his then majority members under the Klieg lights of News12 to shred Tom Gulotta's budget - sending a clear and unequivocal message to Republicans everywhere that it's okay to Trash Tom.

The one before that....oh there are too many to tell, but how bout this one, firing a good hardworking loyal member of his team on the recommendation of his secretary and replacing him with a young man who's first prominent action was to get himself detained overnight in Nassau County Jail for knocking down Democrat signs. That got lots of chuckles..Keep up the good work Julie!

Boy oh boy, Mondello has made great decisions over the years. Keep him on boys, - there are still some Republicans left that could benefit from his next great move!

Here's one other example of Jay Jacobs' superiority over Joe Mondello.

Could Joe Mondello ever dream of getting a party operative publicly installed as part of the executive staff of the Nassau DA's office? Jay Jacobs sure managed it, didn't he?

Doesn't that say more about the character of the new DA thanit does about the brilliance of JJ?

Dillion kept politics out of the DA's office. Mondello respected that because it is the right thing to do. The Democrats, however, respect nothing.

No, Mondello is just a jackass who doesn't know what he is doing.

How does that respond to my comment dickhead. Say what you want about Mondello, but do you seriously contend that the DA's office should be a political office?

It's not that Jay Jacobs is smarter or sharper than Joe Mondello. In character, they're both dishonest rattlesnakes who'd screw you in a heart-beat. Both should thrown-out! Our concern is Kathleen Rice. She's a new kid on the block of Nassau politics. I believe she means well and is commited to do correct things. Sadly, she's politically naive now. But she's a fast learner. Adding the former chief honcho of the democrat side of the Board of Elections to her executive staff was a blunder. He won't last long. Rice is a prosecutor not a politician. Once she gets settled-in, watch her smoke.
The plea-bargain in the Roslyn debacle was pre-engineered and pre-arranged BEFORE the election by the Dillon team. All Rice is doing is being the equivalent of a messenger. Just watch her. She's tough and a no nonsense PROSECUTOR.

the Signorelli plea bargain was a Kathleen Rice deal. This was not arranged during the Dillon era. Signorelli was waiting for the court decision regarding whether Tassone would be compelled to testify against him. That decision came post-election, and post- Dillon. Rice was shown making a comment that this was a tough deal, the defendent is spending time upstate in jail. They added upstate to make it look like a tough deal.

"Ms. Tauro the Talentless" is really setting the world on fire. Please.
