Been hearing lots of rumors that some leaders have been outsted to bring in fresh young blood.

Frankly, it's about time.

Hear changes in Bellmore, North Bellmore to start with, with more to come.

Keep you informed.

P.S. Who will primary Charlie O'Shea is the real question out there people. Anyone have any thoughts?

Mineola Mel
12-16-2002, 04:16 PM
After much grumbling from Peter Schmitt and his friends, Charlie will get the GOP nomination. He will also get Independence and Conservative lines and win convincingly in November. Once Team Suozzi realizes this they will do all they can to "STOP O'Shea;" Harvey Levinson's year end investigation of reassessment should get to us any day now. Weitzman's audit will soon follow.

The new leader in Bellmore hasn't even had the guts to announce his new position to ordinary Republicans in the community. Neither has the new leader of N. Bellmore, or any other of the so called "fresh new blood". They must be embarrassed to promote their position as "leaders of nothing".

These people weren't installed to promote fresh ideas or anything of the kind. More gutless wonders.

Jello leadership.

...anyone with the guts to run an insurgency campaign? :">

Didn't Gulotta and Parola try it a few years ago and get thumped?

Time will tell what kind of leaders they are.

Anyone have any info on these new guys?

splitup
12-20-2002, 05:44 AM
NHP/GCP was split up, Leg. Rich Nicolello lost about have of his area to Jerome Galluscio. I have no idea why that happened except perhaps the area was not doing as well as it shoud be.

Don't forget the new leader in Island Park, longtime D'amato ally Doc McGann gone. McGinty replaces.
Rhoden replaces Sammon in Hempstead.

Now was Sammon replaced before or after Trent Lott opened his big mouth?

Anyway, nice to see a Brother movin up the ladder, even if it is the wrong and racist one at that.

nicollelo didn't really lose anything to JJ Galluscio. The area was split up, JJ was rewarded because he took a thumping against DiNapoli and JJ and Nicolello are buds. There's an alliance, if anything.

I think they are buddies and it was perhaps just way of sharing the work load a bit. They get along great.

there is no shake up in NHP, -- not as far as Post Avenue is concerned. There is a leader who likes to polarize the various areas and their respective leaders, getting too involved in village elections, against the wishes of elected officials (elected officials who matter). AND as a result, the rest of the committee gets humped. Nicollello and JJ are great together, making the most of what they have to do their respective jobs. BUT, there's always one who doesn't play well with others.
STEWMANOR-NHP SHOULD BE SHAKEN UP. . . All is not is what it seems.

The new spine-less yes man that is the new leader of North Bellmore GOP does not even live nor has he ever lived in North Bellmore. But that does not matter anymore, most of the committeemen do not here. You look at why the GOP is losing. The committeemen doesn't care about the quality of live here, they live elsewhere

are an abused, unappreciated group of people who are expected to give, give, give to get nothing, nothing, nothing. . . The selected few remain fat, happy and stupid and the rank and file gets screwed...It is about time and the time is drawing closer and closer that committeemen will and have started to simply say, "no" and "execs" will not be able to get anything out of them b/c there is no quid pro quo...The Republican party that we knew years ago is gasping for its last breaths....THIS IS NOT YOUR FATHER'S NASSAU GOP!

Where is the organized group of Nassau GOP activists seeking to "reform" the party? I see a bunch of armchair generals with grandiose ideas, but nobody organizing anything to put such notions into effect.

When I see a "reformers" holding a press conference at the Supreme Court Building in Mineola announcing an organized effort to recruit current and prospective committee members, I'll take such complaints about the current regime more seriously.

Petition time is but a few months away.

A substantial number of Executive Leaders do not reside in the communities they supposedly lead.

Levittown South leader lives in SouthBellmore.
Balboni lives elsewhere.
Mondello doesn't even live in the TOWN he's the Chairman of.

Many clubs do not even meet any longer.

The GOP will soon be RIP.

It's time to start anew, try visiting MEETUP.COM and start a new posting for new generation local GOPers.

along with fresh blood at the local levels. A combination of the old guard with the next generation of GOP leaders
would be a winning combination.

To Mr. Mondello: Don't forget the late Lee Atwater's style of campaigning that won for Roanld Reagan. Visit
the bars and bowling alleys where the middle class are.
LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY or the NASSAU GOP will
be a sinking ship with you at the helm.

Long ago, I gave the prescription for winning elections:
"Make a list of all the Whigs and Tories in the District and make sure the Whigs get out to vote"

Same advice stands today. The problem is most committeemen avoid the four letter word.......its W.O.R.K.

bahahahaha......there will never be a change in the Nassau County Republican Party. I had hoped that after this past election the people would finally stand up and take a stand, but they did not. It is the same old story. The party is fat, bloated, and will never change. Since we are impotent to make changes, we deserve what we get.

I see that Abe Weinstein, former Chair of the NCC Math Department and crone of Cornachio, Gulotta and Margiotta et al, is in the news again. Abe who had his entire family working for the TOH et al is being sentenced for his past crimes. Keep searching into the past of family purer (Limongelli 1% Case circa 1987) for details. Sorry Abe, no more free residence for 15 years at taxpayer expense at NCC, but now I see your wife (TOH executive $100K ) still resides on Park Avenue in NYC. (Is that allowed ? - let's ask Kate Murray)

That would be Naomi Weinstein wouldn't it -- A D'Amato crony.

As for the free housing at NCC, why don't they put this abuse out of its own misery and end it!!!

As for Kate getting involved and doing something, what does she care. She's a useless tool, just like the rest of those machine tools "working" on the floor above my office.

Something must be done about the Lynbrook Rep Club. Its Dead. Greg has destroyed what was left of it. Most GOPers are tired of the royal family.

The Lynbrook Rep Club is worthless. The Becker Family has sucked the lifeblood out of every member that it possibly can. Heard that Repub Club holder ons, Hillary Becker and Brian Curran are being backed by the Royal family for something in NC, TOH.

10-17-2004, 01:44 PM
You would think the Becker family with a long history of political history would have been able to produce a Becker beyoound local bs public office. They get stupid positions in the Assembly and just occupy space in the legislature. Other accomplishments include hack jobs in Hempstead.

What power and influence! The organization there should just show them the door an be done with their stupid little Howdy Doody Faced Grins.

...the issue that could be the tipping point in Fat Joe continuing his chairmanship is the party rank and file finding out that the Nassau GOP has a pension program for its employees. But the program is dependent upon having substantial annual monies to pay for the pensions. Over the years I have heard republican candidates questioning where the money being raised at all the party fundraisers was going--because they have NEVER had a public accounting of the books at the monthly Executive Committee meeting. I wonder what ticket buyers will think when they realize that their hard earned money being forked over is not going to their favorite candidate, but to ensure Joe's pension as a 20+year employee at Post Avenue. Of course this pension is on top of his $100,000+ state retirement system pension and his federal pension from his sham "generalship" in the National Guard. Funny how that unit was never called up to go to Iraq!

I can't stand anymore
11-04-2004, 12:22 PM
Several friends of mine are out of a job because our Chairman refuses to make a deal to protect sitting Judges. Rejecting cross-endorsements may have made political sense when we had a clear majority, but the winds have shifted in Nassau County in recent years. Unless the Chairman makes a deal soon, we will be facing more losses of judges next year. Rumor has it that the CE is willing to do a deal now but will back off next year if the Democrats continue to sweep the Judges in the next election. Stay tuned. This will be interesting to watch.

You ever check the cars these Executive Leaders drive? Most of them are LEASED and paid for by the little guys (this is where your fundraising dollars are going). Their maintenance and insurance are paid for as well. In Inwood, the Executive Leader is driving a spiffy cadillac LEASED to his republican club. All the little people come out like robots and raise money for the club.

The Republican Party is run by a bunch of political lawyers who give token jobs out to the little people. Meanwhile, these political lawyers are counting on the little people to keep their pensions and perks going. I mean, even for Fire Commissioner's positions, which are voluntary, these guys get pensions and health benefits!

Mondello is a sham, I'm sorry to say. After being a lifelong republican and came from parents that were active republicans, I can't back the Nassau GOP anymore.

How about the Atlantic Beach Bridge or Sanitary District # 1? They are taxpayer rip-offs under tight GOP reigns. You and I are paying for all that.
