Now that the wintery season is upon us, what are the odds of another Town of Hempstead Snow Job?

I estimate a 70% chance of mucking up one of the basic functions of local government - clearing the roadways of a cold and sometimes wet white powdery substance.

Two things

1. Didn't the snow problem happen over 3 years ago?

2. How did you ever reach 70%?

You arrive at your statistics anyway you want, I will compile mine objectively.

Snow Job I was two years ago. Who knows what misfeaseasance lies in the capabilities of these competent town ship officials. However, the best prediction of the future is what's gone on in the past. On this measure - keep your snowshovels handy.

But they didn't have any troubles last year, did they?

P.S. Don't you think 70% is a little high?

I don't remember it snowing much last year, but I don't recall any problems either.

I would say that there is a better than 50% chance that the screw up the first big snow fall. too many chiefs not enough workers, and those that there exist are related to the chiefs.

It's Deja Vu All Over Again

Looks like they are repeating the previous fiasco.

Check out the line of trucks sitting at the Dunkin Donuts on Long Beach Road Oceanside.

No salt in them, only one has a plow attached.

Great job GuardiNO.

Having just gotten home from work, I had the opportunity to travel from Oyster Bay to hempstead. With the exception of Old Country Road, the roads, and sidestreets are in pretty good shape.

I didn't have th eluxury of being home at 2:30 in the afternoon, but it was in the middle of the storm at that time.

In addition, I think your opinion is a little tained based on you previous posts. you obviously just don't like the Town of hempstead, regardless of whatever it does.

That is, as long as a Republican is in office. I'm sure you thought all the County roads were just fine. I on th other hand, beg to differ.

P.S. they were salting the roads at 8AM when I left to go out to work. News 12 and 880 actually covered it.

Here we go again, the do no evil Republicans are lauded by Spotlight.

The only thing more ridiculous that being Mr. Nice is reading these postings of his.

By the way - as of 8AM my little Wantagh street south of Merrick hadn't been paid a visit by Mr. TOH Plow, but the nearby county road was. What's with these overlapping jurisidictions anyway - can't government get it's act together.

Don't Ask Spotlight though.

Well, great to see the County roads were done today.

As for being nice, can't help it. You should try it yourself, you might make friends for once.

Regarless, you should call the town to complain about your street. Which street is it? You pay enough in taxes so the job should be done in your area as well.

But, I'm sure you don't have another agenda, right?

Seriously, if you look at all my posts, I freely take shots at the GOP heirarchy.

There is EVIL in both parties, even yours.
