Newsday speculated today that Tim Bishop will be very beatable in 2004. Who are the contenders?
By then, Bishop will have a legislative record and serious funding. It will take an experienced, moderate GOPer to so the trick.
No RTL line to worry about, either.

Patty has announced interest in running for congress before and is a sure vote-getter with a good environmental record. She'd go to town in that race.
Martin Haley would be a great candidate. Acampora screened last time and did not impress the gop in DC. She comes off as goofy.

is not the brightest bulb, but the people tend to like that...
Grucci was no brain surgeon either...

your right but grucci beat out acampora for the nomination. I think acampora's future is on the state level. A possible appointment from Pataki or maybe Ken Lavalle's seat if he moves on.
