View Full Version : SHAME ON NY STATE LEGISLATORS
STOP COP KILLING
11-30-2005, 11:55 AM
In light of the latest killing of a police officer the dysfunctional, corrupt, lazy, inept and out of touch New York State legislature confronts its ultimate
SHAME
Failure to revise New York's Death Penalty law for cop killers.
How any law enforcement official, union or so-called can stand beside the likes of George Pataki, Eliot Spitzer, Joe Bruno, Sheldon Slver and associate themselves with these bastards is disgusting.
Who Losses when the Nassau PBA's Gary Delarabba pledges his union's support to Chuckie the Fuschillo, Mikie the Balboni, Kemp-the-Hemp Hannon, Tiny-Tiny Deanie Weanie Skelos, Carl-The-Marshmallow Marcellino or any of those Suffolk beach whales.....

Spend union money to oppose an candidate who defends cop killers for a living. I doubt any police officer would consider it money well spent.
Joe Bruno Rocks!

Only a messed up politically suicidal lunatic who calls himself a family values advocate because he tries to dig up dirt about gay teachers and who spends his time complaining about the Republicans can think that he will achieve restoration of the death penalty by throwing out Nassau County's current senate delegation. Besides, Gubernatorial hopeful Tom Suozzi is on the record as being anti-death penalty, at least according to Newsday's Rick Brand.

Suozzi's Model Legislator

By the way, David Sidikman was a primary force in passing the law giving crime victims the right to speak at sentencing and was the author of the bill that requires the state parole board to hear from Crime Victims prior to murderes and other violent felons appearing before the parole board.
You you read story's about families of murder victims pleading their case to the parole board -- like just occured in the Mathrew Soloman case -- you can take David Sidikman. He wrote the bill and fought for its passage. Nots not just talk its a fact that you can verified.
And who did Suozzi and people like you replace him with. A criminal defense attorney who represented the most notorious cop killer in NY history.
And what kind of laws would be enacted if this Souzzi hand-picked legislator had his way. While here are some bills he has sponsored:
1) A law making it easier for cop killers who claim their lawyer was inaffective to win an appeal. (See A. 8362 which Mr. Lavine is the prime and sole sponsor of in the Assembly)
2) A law that will throw-out confessions from cop killers and other murders if the were not recorded electronically. (See A5055)
3) A law that would require the state board of elections to count convicts of state prisons when determining congressional, assembly and senate districts. (see A2754)
By the way, as I do not see any major reform legislation sponsored by this guy who was sent to "Fix Albany." Unless granting more rights to criminals is a way of reform.
Fire The Rep Senators

For the past year and a half Nassau's Republican Senators have had ample opportunity to rally public support for revising the state's death penalty law.
Fuscilhole, Balbaloney, Marshmallino, Skedaddelos, Tampon-Hannon and the unindicted Suffolk Republican Senate delegation have done nothing,,,,,NOTHING,,,,,,NOTHING about this issues while cop after cop is shot dead and the criminal gets off with cable-tv, dvd's, excercise rooms, and three square meals for life.
I ask, if this is what the incumbents have delivered I'll take a rookie any day of the week.
However, if left to the devices of Gary DellaRabba and his fat, pistol whipped cronies then who loses..

I guess you have no reponse to the above post so your now accusing the Senate of apposing the death penalty. Although I am no major fan of the Senate majority to imply they are obstructing the death penalty is rediculious.
And what is your response to Suozzi being on the record as opposing the death penalty. None also I guess.

There are some right-wing sympathizers with all things liberal this year and next who seem to forget that it was the Republican State Senate which sought to restore the death penalty. This effort was thwarted by the Democratic Assembly. Apparently, Mr. Bruno tried to do the right thing, but there are some people (even some who are supposedly on the right politically) who want to destroy the Republican Party for reasons which can only appear psychotic or self-serving.

The cop killer deserves the death penalty, but what penalty would you give the cop who is on trial now for being drunk, plowing into a car and killing 4 kids?

This guy is a malicious cold blooded killer who by the way robbed anothe cop stole a car and had enough drugs to get 25 years in jail. You are comparing apples and oranges. his background should be taken into consideration. I hope he dies a slow painful death.
as for the cop who is on trial he should be treated the same as anyone with a clean record who has done the same i think the max is 4 years now

I agree with you, the two are NOT the same, that Cop killer MUST DIE, all Cop KILLERS MUST DIE. As for the other situation, they(Officer) should be, MUST be punished to the full extent of the Law,
Why do cops get behing the wheel drunk anyway? Don't they know better? I think about 15 civilians have been killed by drunk officers on LI in the past 5 years. Anyone see a problem here?
So if a person, an evil person, kills a cop he deserves the death penalty, however, if he kills anyone else he deserves something less severe? Are you kidding me? How did cops become more deserving for carrying out a severe penalty for a crime against them than John or Jane citizen? What about a kid-killer? Don't they deserve the death penalty?
Bingo. They voted the death penalty for the killer of Carlie Brucia. He absolutely deserves it. The cop killer does, too. And not because I think it's a deterrent. It's just that some crimes scream out for it. Colin Ferguson should be the poster boy for the death penalty.

Yes he should. But he was one for gun-control. But I must ask why gun-nuts on the north shore had Suozzi lawn signs in their yards?
