Pataki/Bruno

What have those two done for the Republican candidates on Long Island ?

Where were they during the election season ?

With our school districts on Long Island being short changed by the State and the school districts having mega financial scandals of corruption and down right thievery all on their own, why the silence of Pataki and Bruno ?

Democrats control the Unions. They have developers in their pockets. They have all kinds of progressive organizations on their side politically.

They have the media such as Newsday and cablevision News. You would think the Governor and State majority leader would at least campaign for the Republicans instead of running away from them.

Sorry, buddy, don't think appearing in public with Pataki and Bruno would have helped any Republicans win.

Sen. Bruno represents Renssalaer and Saratoga counties in the Senate, about 200 miles from here...don't think anyone around here would care about his endorsement. As for Pataki...you seen his approval rating lately?

Bruno does plenty for Nassau Republicans, by the way. He keeps Balboni, Skelos, Marcellino, Fuschillo, and Hannon in office by putting millions of pork projects for their districts into each year's budget.

Pataki and Bruno are both in part responsible for the GOP's leftward drift, and its apparent loss of purpose and meaning on the statewide level. Pataki defeated Mario Cuomo as a social moderate with some strong conservative economic and criminal justice leanings. That was a winning combination. Now, Pataki made deals with the big union to ensure his electoral victories, and NY doesn't even have the death penalty anymore. They have also failed to designate a clear, GOP successor to Pataki as "head of the party." This leadership gap has harmed the GOP throughout New York, since the decline in the GOP is not limited to Nassau, it is systemic.

DEAD SENATORS,

BRUNO NEEDS L.I , WITHOUT THE LONG ISLAND DELEGATION OF NINE REPUBLICAN STATE SENATORS BRUNO IS NOT THE MAJORITY LEADER. ONLY TIME WILL TELL, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE REPUBLICAN SENATE MAJORITY IS SOON HISTORY.

Starting with Suffolk County...............

1ST SD) K.LaVALLE, Like his cousin (the outgoing Brookhaven Supervisor) he knows when it is time to get out of Crookhaven, Looking for a Judgship.

2nd SD) C.TRUNZO, (age 77+?)Publicly taking sides with lame duck Islip Town Supervisor McGowen against well liked and victorious, incumbent Town Councilman. Maybe his daughter-in-law can arrange for him to win the state lottery and retire before (GOP can run outgoing Assemblyman tom B.) and ugly loss.

3rd SD) J.Flanagan, district covers parts of Crookhaven, soon to be overdeveloped Smithtown/Kings Park (they dislike him now, they'll hate him then) and Huntington (the land the GOP forgota/k/a the GOP candidates that JFlannagan forgot a/k/a the land where successful Republicans become Democrats.

4th SD) O.Johnson (age 76+?) Has run without opposition (Democratic non-agression pac) to the point where there is little organization left. (Dem SCLegislator runs for the Assembly, Dem Assemblyman Sweeney runs to become part of the new Dem Majority in NYS Senate, plenty of fall back positions if he loses in the SCX Levy or NYS Gov Spritizer administrations.

5th SD) C.Marcellino (age: fat and ugly) Suozzi Target, Councilwomen-elect Beth Faughnan for State Senate. (When she has them) She won't put her spouse on the county payroll (Mrs. Marcellino, NCCC conflict re pay scale with her Adelphi position, enhanced her own position, to the detriment to taxpaying Nassau County Residents, ) and her kid on Congressman Peter Kings Payroll. Senator Marcellino found the perfect way to offset the high cost of a college education, have a fellow NC GOP Exec Leader put your kid (Carl Jr.) on his (Congressman Peter Kings taxpayer supported) payroll.

The Rest of Nassau County......later ..........Joe Mondello personally has sealed most of their fates.........we'll examine them individually later.......padded payrolls, bloated expenses, pork, sweet heart state contracts (Bruno, his family and friends) and lets not forget the jobs of wives (did she ever use Mrs. Dean S), kids and girlfriends.

Tom Barraga lives in Owen Johnsons senatorial district and not in Trunzo's district.

Barraga leaving state assembly as he was just elected to the suffolk county legislature. If Johnson retires Barraga would defeat any democrat for the senate seat. The problem GOP would face is to convince Barraga to go back to Albany--a real hard sell.

Here is an article that is a perfect example of what dead senators was writing about. This article and others like it are all over the newspapers. These senators have nowhere to hide anymore.

It took only a day and a handful of Kings Park citizens to organize the November 11, rally, drawing a crowd of two hundred and fifty people and cheers from almost every motorist that passed the marchers. Thanks to that handful of people, Kings Park is energized and the energy is continuing to mount. Emotionally, the community is on the offensive and their energy and vitality is systemic.

The main difference between the Kings Park Psychiatric Center Rally of November 11th, and the rally of last winter, is this time the people were clearly running the show, not the political hacks who shamelessly changed the message of the prior rally.

Aware of their lost credibility, the politicians say little. The Nov. 11, rally was truly an inspiring grassroots effort. The people of Kings Park are now coming out and expressing themselves in droves. The town wants the proposed sale stopped and new leaders who will put the best interest of their constituents first and “BIG MONEY” political lobbyists last.

The current proposed developers are purposely keeping their cards & intentions for the property close to their vests. Nevertheless, those tightly held cards cannot stop the figural bleeding of the politicians whose credibility is already so shot with holes that they are becoming a liability to their party.

CHECK OUT THE LAST PARAGRAPH. " Liabilty to their party"

The mighty Dems will win the majority of Assembly & Senate seats in 2006 on the coat-tails of the gubernatorial candidate Eliott Spitzer. Most vunerable in Suffolk County will be:

Do-Nothing Assemblyman Jim Conte (almost lost 2 years ago to a young, smart aggressive Democrat)
Do-Nothing Assemblyman Andrew Raia (won because everyone loves Mommy)

Dinosaur Senator Ceasar Trunzo (stay close with good friend Pete McGoon and you too can be indicted)
The Other Dinosaur Senator Owen Johnson (your time to go was 20 years ago)
Chubby Senator Carl Marcellino (do-nothing who really knows how to suck-off the public's tit)
Boy Wonder Senator John Flanagan (another do-nothing who's time has come)
Crookhaven's Senator Ken LaValle (need I say more?)
