Looks like all those big bad union 'BOSSES' are all wet. CSEA was wrong in the Clavin and Rice race. Everything else was correct. They were out there in force for Mejias, including election day!!!

Phone banked for over 4000 names over the weekend alone!!!

Finally, CSEA gets it right and now let's see what happens.

PBA spent a lot of money to look foolish on top of it.

Oh, doesn't that fathead DeLaRaba look like a genius now! LOOOOOOOOOZZZZZAAAAHHHHH!

Finally, Delababy gets the knock he deserves. He better not go into the handicapping business, because he can't pick a winner.

What did shoa do?

Did you read the editorial in Newsday today? Looks like Gary screwed himself and his boys. I hope when they do the "study" of the police dept they realize that civilianization is the key. They took a test to be a cop...get them out of offices and replace them with civilians..Probably can hire 3 civilians for one cop!

is it true that commissioner Lawrence is on the way out? IS it also true that some of the hire ups in the PD (commissioners) will be asked to leave or take a cut in pay?

Can it be that they are really going to cut the fat at the top.

Higher ups...asked to leave, take a cut in pay .....or get indicted!!
Which will it be...rumors are rampant all over the police dept!

Do you ever get tired of talking to your self on here Mr. CSEA Union President? Go get some more mirrors for your house.

11-28-2005, 10:40 AM
"NUMC, which has a budget of $480 million, wasn't expected to break even this year, but there had been a sense that it had turned the corner. The actual deficit in 2004 was $13.9 million. For 2005, the budgeted deficit was a wildly applauded reduction to $6.5 million. That number will now swell to around $10 million or more by the end of the year. There is a $20 million cash cushion, so NUMC can absorb this year's losses. The padding, however, is starting to get very thin.

Higher energy costs in the wake of the season's hurricanes accounts for a few million dollars of the extra costs. The real culprit, however, is the difficulty in changing an institutional culture that is accustomed to paying substantial overtime for nursing care and has used costly agency contracts for staffing." Newsday Editorial 11/28/05

OK Mr. Icabod Kane. I hope you DON'T have any mirrors in your house, because that would be curel and unusual for all.

Overtime is the answer? Really what your saying jerkoff, is that poor management is the answer. Now the union gets blamed for understaffing and mandating overtime? By the way, didn't csea give the hospital a great deal in the last contract under Sweet Jane? Not enough? Let's see if North Shore gets in. I say they won't and I say Kane will be gone long before our CSEA President.

What about the 250 or so who got promoted in 2000 and never got your steps fixed? How do you like working next to someone who got promoted 1,2 or 3 months after you and see them making MORE $$$$$$$$$$ than you? Jane and Guistino hung you out to dry....now Stober filed a breach of contract suit against the county...HA HA ...last time Ron G talked about a breach of contract suit he said a snowballs chance in hell in the same sentence. Better yet..........look at all the promotions from 1994 on up. How did the male dominated jobs get vertical promotions? County doesnt want to settle with 250 in wrong step maybe they should settle with EVERY PROMOTION that wasn't vertical. Maybe a federal judge needs to look at the discrimination here. Maybe even our illustrious UNION is at fault. Maybe someone should sue the Union to help that snowball get out of hell!

If you are a female who was promoted in Nassau County during the last decade...odds are against you for being treated fairly. BUT if you were a male promotee it seems your employer and your UNION would work together to get an addition to the contract for you. It is called a memorandum of agreement and the Union seems to have drawn them up over the years for ONLY MALE DOMINATED JOBS! YES LADIES...MANY male dominated jobs NEVER lost a step at all when they were promoted because deals were made that were NOT made available to women. The feds need to look at this. It is even rumored that these memorandums of agreement are bought and paid for by the very promoted employee. It has had a disparate impact on salaries of every female promotee in Nassau County.

You my friend are full of hit-shey. Just name one MOA which excluded females. The last MOA which mandated an upgrade was for 250+ CB(last year) operators, of which 3 of them are male.
C'mon now list those agreements you just alluded to. Matter of fact list two.
I can see Jane and her band of merry thieves are back on here.

05-13-2006, 02:41 PM
Ha...the last MOA the Union made for the CB ops was with a gun to their heads. Tony Guistino told them in 2001 to take their upgrade (with huge loss of steps) and the Union would fix it. They never did so a lawsuit was filed. The Correction Officers got vertical promotions right before they left CSEA and NOW they get all promotions vertical thanks to having their own Union. The mechanics, the AMTs, and firecom all got verticals. County made deals with men...never did a social worker get a vertical! Foil every promotion or upgrade from 1994 to 2001 and do the study yourself. Men in high places got promoted and got huge increases and women lost 3, 4 and 5 years seniority. Lots of little checks made out to FRIENDS of Gullotta! Illegal...HELL YES!

05-16-2006, 10:19 PM
Have a friend who can't get her promotion fixed for 2000. Jane D'Amico sold the 240 plus 2000 promotees down the river so she could collect on her 2001 promotion fix. My friend is soooooooooo angry that she will never go away. Does Nassau County really want every promotion for the last 10 years investigated by the Dept of Justice? Does anybody remember the BIG 1% case in Town of Hempstead? How much input into those checks to Gulotta did the Union have? Could you imagine if NC had to return all that money the good old boys "contributed" towards their vertical upgrades/promotions? Even better...could you see what it would cost to give the good old GIRLS some vertical upgrades and promtions?

Don't lose sight of the fact the CB OPS have a case before a Federal Judge in Fed Court in Brooklyn.

Everyone thought this would go away. It is this case that just MAY bring out the ENTIRE County way of doing business .. that is MOA's and promotions (vertical) implemented for certain people or certain groups, but not other people.

This is NOT the private sector and discriminate salary disparities can NOT be done in that manner (as in pay-offs and the like).

When the FCOM MOA was brought to light a number of years ago the UNION hit the roof and looked to punish and discredit those exposing it.

Well, years later and WITH NO help from CSEA, the CB ops raised 6 figures of dollars to bring this case to Federal Court.

Perhaps now CSEA will get behind them (or as be as guilty as the County).

Interesting how NEWSDAY has not covered this Lawsuit. By Suozzi's own statements, CB should win by default
