Bullshit. Tricia Ferrel is a very nice woman. She is passionate, not angry. I have never heard her say a negative word about any of her opponents. I don't know how liberal she is, but it doesn't really matter for the Clerk's office.

I don't care which party the candidates for County Clerk are from. The Office of The County Clerk facilitates the collection of millions of dollars in County revenue annually. This job is important to the pocketbooks of taxpayers. While Trish is pleasant to speak to, she is about as qualified to handle the job about as much as a midget would be qualified to play in the NBA. She has no experience. Period. The most money she ever handled was to arrange for a family members funeral. Even in the DA's office, she had absolutely no management responsibilities. According to Newsday, O'Connell ran an entire nursing department. All of this is why Newsday said they like Trish, but they endorse O'Connell. Even Newsday was force to recognize the obvious. We need the person who is capable of handling the job. That's O'Connell.

Karen Murphy is one of the worst public officials in Nassau history. While clerk's offices in other counties such as Suffolk and Westchester have handled the real estate boom with no problems, Nassau's Clerk office has floundered. There is a reason for this and it's name is Karen Murphy.
