ANYONE BUT SUOZZI is what I'm hearing.

Funny how according to you, Suozzi has let the County sink to a lower level than ever before, yet the state created an oversight board, NIFA, as a result of a Republican adminstration. THAT seems to be the lowest Nassau has ever sunk to.

As far as what you are "hearing", we'll just add it to the list of rumors that you people never substantiate. You ask for stats and then when someone provides stats that prove you wrong you say "never mind the stats".

If you prefer Petersen or anyone else, go ahead and vote for him, but your disdain for the truth is embarrassing. You are all so "over the top". EVERYTHING Suozzi has done is the WORST thing any politician has EVER done in the history of mankind, huh? I don't know who you think you're convincing, because its not anyone who looks for truth.

Dear, Dear Nassau Boy. I really think you ARE Suozzi. You are too articulate to be Bogsted. You share Suozzi's megalomania. Suozzi has a need to be loved. Indeed, your breast beating reminds me of St. Augustine's declaration in his Confessions that he is the world's chief sinners. I will make a list of bad politicians who are worse than Suozzi, and some who are comparable.

Suozzi has fixed the financial mess Nassau was in under the Gulotta regime (not the republicans, because in the end I believe Gullota wanted to destroy the party before he left). The cost, however, has been too high; excessive property tax increases, reduced public safety, deteriating infastructure (parks, roads), and bloated, out of town, patronage due to his higher aspirations.

The costs definetly out weigh the benefits. Suzzois worst nightmare is if he gets reelected as county exec and has to serve the full term. It will all cave in on him just like Gulotta.

Their has been ONE property tax increase, ONE. That was back in 2002, the other so called increases the GOP complains about with the assesments. Well something had to be done about it & in fact it was court ordered due to some areas of Nassau County, paying FAR less in property taxes then other portions of the county. In some cases someone in a home worth $300,000 has paying MORE in property taxes than someone in a home worth $600,000. Thats what the whole assesment thing was about to fix the complete broken mess of the old system. Some areas went up, others went down. Overall their has been ONE tax increase from Suozzi and that was THREE years ago

Ok, here's the deal. I am NOT Suozzi, for real. I don't share anything, and as far as the breast beating, one HAS to "breast beat" just to offset the un-be-LIEVABLY one sided antiSuozzi nature of this site. You think this is a place for fair expressions of opinions? Get a grip. I've seen so many things here that are just plain factually wrong, that its easy to write something that contradicts it. 97 people can write that he is the devil but if one person writes that he isn't that person gets accused of being his buttboy, one of his friends, or HIM. These people should all grow up.

But still, why do you or anyone else care who anyone else is? And why does it always turn to a person's identity once all the substance has run out of the argument? Address what someone has to say, not who they are. Can you all do that?

My post was NOT just about tax increases, it was about the pluses and negitives of Suozzi's time as County Exec. In my mind the negatives outweigh the pluses. Don't make it a one issue debate.

A " Man for the Ages?" Maybe the "Bronze Age,"...certainly not "the Age of Reason."

Human beings accomplished things during the "Bronze Age." Suozzi has no substantive achievements.
