let's get a groundswell of support to recruit Gullota to come back and make things just like they used to be. let's hear from his past administration, current REpublican leaders, etc. And even if Gullota himself won't run again, let's make sure that whoever does, uses the Gullota administration as a model for everything that is right, in how to run a government. The days of deceit by the current democrat administration, using smoke and mirrors to make us think things are better financially are over. Bring back the county's old credit rating and lower taxes that we lost the day the democrats took over.

I am absolutely incredulous. Here I go investing my good time to create a thread to get the old Republican way of doing things, back for us in both counties, and not one Republican has contributed on this thread to help my cause. Where are old administration members, where are the diehard Republicans who supported the way the past administrations ran the counties. This is our opportunity to take the counties away from two Democratic administrations that probably used fraud to steal the elections away from our conservative base. As I said in previous posts, lets bring back the days of taxes that never went up even though the cost of running a county went up exponentially. Let's bring back the days of credit ratings that seemed to create a new "negative territory" category. I just know we can do this but I can't do it alone. Who of you out there are man enough to join me?

Okay, this is it. No longer will I write solely under my usual screen name of chiming in. It looks like I may have to resort to several screen names to give the impression that there are others out there, just like me, who want the old Republican way of doing things to come back. Does anyone know just how humiliating it is to respond to myself under different names, just to try to give the impression to the masses that there is a groundswell of support for the Republican way of doing things. Well, here goes...

And I'll tell you something else, my family, my friends, my neighbors were all doing a hell of a lot better financially even if the county was running in debt leveraged position. I'll take that over losing my house to an immigrant slum lord on Suozzi's payroll ANY

Finally!!!! SOMEONE who thinks like I do. Just because we would have been leaving to our children an unconscienceable debt doesn't mean that we, living for today, can't have our cake and eat it too. There's an old adage that you can't get something for nothing, BUT Gullota proved that to be wrong. You CAN keep taxes level even in the face of rising costs in every facet of our lives. All you have to do is...how did you put it?...run in "debt-leveraged position"; meaning, we don't have to pay for anything today...just leave it for the next generation. Things really WERE better for us then, because we really WERE able to enjoy all of the things that we came to expect and to take for granted, all without having to dish out another dime over, I don't know, how many years??? Bring back the old "Long Islander 'me first'" mentality. I want things to go better for me NOW; forget about the next generation. If we can just play to that angle with the voters, and knowing how our current generation thinks and the types of values we have developed (as depicted by "unfunny"), I have no doubt whatsoever that we can win in 2006!!!
There isn't the prospect of an immediate, overpaid and cushy job in it for them. Therefore they haven't responded. Just as it was in the old Republican days they're simply asking you "Where's mine?"

Just days after Seaford was one of the few towns to vote all GOP, they were again rewarded for their vote by the state GOP. A large Pataki Pole for cell phones was erected on a Sunday by crews from Albany NY. Did our local state elected officials get to hold this work back until the week after elections. Did we use upstate crews so the word did not get out. How many times will the GOP step on this town that has always backed the GOP? Well I am done next chance I get I am changing to DEM. WAKE UP!!!! Listen to what Pete is saying! Town of Hempstead Supervisor will be a DEM word around town people have had it!
