Will Tom Williams give Suozzi a go in 2005?
How about Rocco
10-24-2004, 03:12 AM
A few former Dem emploees have been heard talking about running Rocco Ianarelli against Tom and plans on attacking certain legislators.
How about Socko
10-25-2004, 06:55 AM
Rocco's name was mentioned.
So were a few others.
There are many Dems ticked off at the current regime.
They have some damage to repair or they could be facing a more serious reelection threat than they imagine.
It only takes 2000 signatures to primary.

Word from reliable sources is that Judge Angela Iannaci is being touted as a primary opponent for CE in 2005. Nothing NH would love more than to stick it to TS with one of their own, and a woman to boot.

DiNapoli lost! Get over yourselves. No one in North Hempstead has a snowball's chance at CE, especially with Kaiman in Suozzi's pocket.

don't be so sure kaiman is in anyone's pocket.
don't be too sure that NH events are not within TS control.
What makes anyone think he wouldn't run himself?

NH knows that they need to offer a plausible alternative to TS, not his doppelganger. JK. That is the main reason why Judge Iannaci is the leading player.

go to George Soros, terry at the DNC and all the people at Media Matters, including Mr.harold Ickes and janice Enright for all the hard work and "hard earned" money they put into the effort of getting George W.Bush elected for 4 more years. record turnout, dem's voting for Bush , and the highest popular vote in the history of Presidential Elections.
Yes Mr.Ickes you and your gang of munipulating thugs Media indeed Matters, and all your efforts, false accusations, and media bias gave americans the wake up call they needed and they voted! Now its time to get you out of Nassau County as our special interest lobbiest, and take Kim with you, and then we vote out your menion Tom Suozzi and "FIX NASSAU" in 2005.
Voter intellegance priceless, and we will be watching the inept Mr/Levine from day one in Albany, his record will undoubtly speak for itself.
Thanks again for all your hard work.

You folks still don't realize that Tom Suozzi beat Tom DiNapoli for the CE nomination almost 4 years ago.
You folks also don't realize he pulled off what even the vaunted Nassau GOP has been unable to do for more than 20 years, defeat a sitting member of the NY State Assembly and a sitting Senator in upstate NY.
Now, I can't vote in a Dem Primary, but watching him woop your machine asses one more time would sure be entertaining.
So go ahead, give Tom Suozzi another run for your money, I know where I'll put mine!

No told told Denny Farrell and Shelly Silver as he was their star at the Dem State Convention last month. That was weeks before he was supported by Fix Albany he was being supported by the stae leaders who by the run the state Assembly.
Fix Albany was a late comer to his campaign. Their two main Senate candidates got hammered. One right in Tom Suozzi home district.

I wish folks would remember that when ts won 3 years ago it was because the people of Nassau had had enough of the problems given to us by the Republicans being in office for 80 years. Any decent candidate would have won including Tom Dinapoli. Now however, TS has behaved worse than they were in a short three years. The results of this past election indicate that the honeymoon is over and next year will bring back the same old same old. We have the brat and Dr. Evil to thank for losing all the progress we made since 1999.

Yeah, your right. God, how I LONG for the good ol' days. I've finally crossed over to your way of thinking. Why don't we get a petition together to get Gulotta re-elected next time County Exec position is up for grabs? He kept taxes fixed for ten years (or more) and he kept the infrastructure such as mass transit, highway maintenance, etc. functioning by borrowing. He kept that money in the consumers pockets no matter what. The democrat who is now in power is just using smokescreens in trying to convince us he is fiscally responsible. Look at what has happened to our taxes, now that he won't borrow any more money (actually, the county couldn't borrow any more money). The taxes are through the roof. This is an outrage. Typical "democratic" way of conducting business. Sure, the county's credit rating is now "supposidly" excellent but I don't believe that for one second. Suozzi is playing us for fools and only when Gulotta gets back into power will Nassau County no longer be an embarrassment. Bring back the old Republican administration, the one that we kept voting into office because our taxes stayed low. The citizens of the County most certainly knew what was good for them. The democratic party had its chance and they blew it. They will be uncovered for perpetrating a fraud on the citizens of the county by presenting a picture of fiscal restraint and responsibility when the exact opposite will turn out to be true. Not only that, but Gulotta was great at presenting proclamations at community events. he presented himself very well and I for one put that right at the top of the list of things I would expect my County Exec to perform well.
Over in Suffolk County, the guy at the top, unlike most politicians with the exception of the guy at the top in Nassau County, has higher aspirations. he too is using smokescreens to create the illusion of a well-run county, when anyone with an I.Q. above 60 knows that this guy is running the county just as poorly as the guy in Nassau is running his. Watch out for both of these guys because they are true-blue democrats. Watch for scandals, unlike the Republican party which almost without exception runs a clean ship. I for one am aware of one township in particular, Brookhaven, which is REpublican run, and scandals of any form would never be tolerated there. its just the way its been for as long as i can remember. The democrats can learn a good hard lesson in morality, professional ethics, and basicly just how to run Counties for the betterment of the people, by taking some pages from the legacy the REpublicans have left behind.
I just don't know why it has taken me so damn long to see the light. But I'm with you now! Is there room in the REpublican party for one more person, with a little egg on his face?? What can I do to help??

Please accept this invitation to come and join the GOP and get active in this coming year's county executive race to oust Suozzi from County Government. We would love to have you start coming to our local meetings and to get to know you and you us. Just contact the Republican Committee of Nassau County at 164 Post Avenue, Westbury telephone number 516-334-5800. They'll tell you who's leading your local club and how to get in touch with the leader there. Hope to see you soon!

Thanks. I'm really,,really motivated. I believe that I can get huge support in bringing back Gullota and his past administration. After getting him back his County Exec position, do you think he'd have any pull to get me a no-show job in Brookhaven or some other Republican enclave? Also, and this is very important, is food served at these Republican club gatherings? Is it free?
In closing, I think we should start a "bring back Gullota" thread on the x5-x5-x5-x5-x5-x5-x5-x5- board. We can test the waters, so to speak, getting some frank insight from readers into whether he would barely eck out a win, or whether it would be a mandate-type win. Either way, we get rid of someone from the other party (I can't bring myself to mention his name, he's so damn incompetent) and we can put things back the way they were before the democrats poisoned everything they got their hands on. Well, got to get to work...but first, the Bring back Gullota thread!

So glad HUD has decided not to call in the $1,000,000 marker Nassau County was supposed to pay back. Seems the county has done such a good job at rectifying its attempts to steal from the Government that the reward is a reduced payback. WOW!
TRS what a terrific message to send out - instead of saying we did wrong and will pay the whole thing back

Helena Williams was the general counsel for Long Island Bus before being tapped by Suozzi as Counsel to the County Executive. Soon after Lorna Goodman made clear that her people alone rendered legal advice in Nassau County, Ms. Williams became the DCE in charge of the public safety vertical. Then she became the "compliance" officer after the Sylver Scandal.

Helena Williams has been a deputy county attorney for as long as gulotta has been county executive. She might have skirted for awhile in the psedu political farce of the LI BUS (also uses outside counsel to do any real work like Lorna Goodman) but she's a republican hack from the gulotta adminstration. Goodman wouldn't know talent if you strapped her down and showed her a video.

We have a deficit this year as a direct result of the national economic climate, meanwhile right before Suozzi took over during a very strong national economic climate we had a deficit that was about TRIPLE what it is now. The average COUNTY taxes have gone up by $58 in the last seven years.

Maybe if your property didn't get flagged because you filed a building permit. Reassessments occurred for work either not started, not completed or substantially done; and those are some tough facts with 3-4 taxing agencies that benefitted.
The property assessments, some very overstated, gave raises to the County, Towns, and Schools.

Look at the property tax revenues the county has taken in oer the past six years, it basically hasn't changed due to the fact taxes haven't changed. Meanwhile the school property tax revenues have soared and the town tax revenue has as well (especially in Oyster Bay and Hempstead)
