Why does Jon Kaiman need or deserve a $33,000 raise, as proposed, over the $15,000 raise that May Newburger implemented for that office less than 2 years ago?

That would make it an almost $50,000 raise in less than 2 years.

Yes, what would proposed salary be? And while checking, what is the salary of a District Court judge now (because Kaiman would still be there if he hadn't quit)...Also, is he also proposing to increase salaries of the councilmen? Clerk? Tax receiver?

The chatter around Town hall is that JK will need the increase because he is facing legal trouble of some sort or another . . . .

The Mineola American reports that the GOP is not happy with the raise because it would make JK the highest paid Supe on Long Island.

JK replies, look at the salaries of the school superintendents. IS HE KIDDING . . .

If he wants to be a school superintendent, leave and go for it, otherwise stop whining . . . .

Did anyone attend the budget hearing? Surely some protested. The final vote is Nov. 16. Outrageous. If Kaiman wants to be a school superintendent, he can get at least $235,000 annually. If he stayed in private practice, could probably do better. Also raising his Town Councilmen, clerk and tax receiver.
