This is the second time I noted someone say John Kerry meet in Paris with North Viet Nam. If that is true he should be arrested. I dont think it is true because if it was it would be out in the open with the swift boat boys

As far as Lavigne goes, have never met him, etc., but I thought that all defendants are allowed to be represented by counsel in this democracy. Is it fair to characterize a lawyer by the kinds of clients he represented? In some cases, there may have been a court appointment....in others, maybe experienced counsel led to a guilty plea, etc.

BTW, I am not a lawyer...but since you are obviously a big Bush - Ashcroft fan, you have no respect for the Constitution, anyway.

Kerry testified in his April 22, 1971 Q&A with the Fullbright Commission that he "had been to Paris. [He had] talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Repulbic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government."
In a Boston Globe Story, a spokesperson for the Kerry campaign acknowledged that Mr. Kerry traveled to Paris with his wife (on their Honeymoon!) had a brief meeting with Madame Binh, a meeting that included the North Vietnamese and the Viet Cong. Kerry claims that these meetings were for "fact finding purpose." Kranish and Healy, "Kerry Spoke of Meeting Negotiators in Paris," Boston Globe, March 25, 2004. According to the O'Neil book, Unfit for Command, the FBI conducted extensive surveillance of Kerry and his group, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and Kerry is linked to a second meeting with Vietnamese Communist leaders in Paris. With respect to this meeting, O'Neill cites to a biographer who was sympathetic to Kerry and the goals of the VVAW.

The kicker is the photograph which still hangs in the Vietnam War Crimes Museum of Kerry meeting with high level Vietnamese Communist dignitaries. A similar photograph of Jane Fonda with the Vietnamese leadership also hangs in that museum.

Even a recent NY Times "time line" which compares the Vietnam era activties of Bush and Kerry acknowledges Kerry's Paris meetings with the Vietnamese communists. There is even a photograph circulating of Kerry in the same crowd picture as Jane Fonda, (though in the USA).

O'Neill has this angle covered in the book, and I anticipate that the most devestating of commercials is yet to come.

The rumors of shakeup in the Kerry campaign stem from their realization already that this one may be over really, really soon.

Yes, Yes. . . . we should all be concerned about the greatest of all evils, "no bis" contracts.
