In 2001, Tom Suozzi brought together a broad coalition of people who wanted change in Nassau County. It is what he has done (or has not done) since then which has angered many of his supporters, particularly those who once were his allies. Suozzi's "city people" have made a mess of this county, and will be his undoing, if only because nobody is going to work on the campaign. At best, they'll just "give" at the office.

First of all, if the indictments rumors are true, the GOP will just need a passable candidate to run against him to win. Second of all, look at Suozzi's poll numbers, yes they are a bit concerning. The GOP happens to have two individuals who could make a go at it. The polling shows that one of the two has a shot, albeit a remote one. Granted, there is a long road to 2005, but if the scandals keep growing, and sadly they will, things could be bleak for a Suozzi victory in 2005. He should have listened to us.

The Tidal wave of people who have grown to hate and distrust Suozzi in the short period he has been CE, or the tidal wave of people who are banding together behind DiNapoli. Irrespective of the semantics, Suozzi's aspirations for higher office are history. I don't really care what you personally believe, because you cannot change the truth. As I type Suozzi's daddy is trying to find a place to which the brat can escape. The problem is, nobody wants him or is willing to help him, especially in Albany where he has made SO many friends. His days are numbered.
