Judge Gross just may drag him down yet. I saw this sucker squirm in person. The GOP now has a poster child for Democratic excesses, and the next scandal, no matter how big or small, just may do Suozzi in. How long will the public tolerate Democratic sex offenders like Pete Sylver and reputed Meyer Lansky style Judges like David Gross.... Not very long..... This could very well be bedtime for Herr Suozzi.

This is humorous! Suozzi is hysterical laughing. Peterson is running for what? When? Did we all miss it? He can't relate to voters. Drives a Jag to events, dresses like John Gotti and for the most part talks down to everybody. If you read the reports his main guy left, theres nothing in the papers, nothing on tv. The campaign amounts to that, Nothing!
Suozzi by 25 points. It's sad, this is the year he was get-able.

The election season just started. They haven't even debated yet and you're making predictions. Tell you what, Kresikin...predict how old Suozzi will respond to the following issues: taxes, gangs, various scandals, development, patronage, illegal immigration, low income housing...

I can't imagine how Suozzi will come through those issues unscathed. I will make a prediction though...if Suozzi wins, I leave Nassau County.

I'm with you. As a Republican, I'm more concerned with Petersons responses. So far he has been as deep as a puddle. It's become so humorous that Suozzi is introducing Peterson at events. The campaign needed to start im April. He's that far behind. If you've followed Suozzi at all you know he'll have answers, they may not be his, but he'll have answers. Peterson seems unable to work with anyone. So far his press and shots at Suozzi has been weak at best.. Im not Kreskin, just a realist.

Mondello has one last trick to pull up his sleeve.

Greg Peterson reminds me of the late Mayor Frank Rizzo of Philadelphia. His style of fukk them all, just get the job done right is what Nassau needs. Not some tony rich baby face kid from the
North Shore.

I 'll take Law and Order Peterson instead of the Liberal Weenie Suozzi anyday.

Suozzi will definitely have answers...however, they can be nothing more than window dressings. The issues speak for themselves. There are more gangs on long island, more illegal guns, more drugs, higher taxes, worse schools, , more illegal immigration, equal scandals  since Suozzi took over. Those are facts. Suozzi will only be able to spin them so far. Petersons edge will be that he is not Suozzi...just like Suozzi's was that he was not Gulotta.

What undermines Peterson is the fact that Nassau County has a hell of a lot more Democrats than it used to. That, unfortunately, is also a fact.

Anyone could run against Tom Souzzi and win right now because everyone in Nassau County hates him.

Peterson is political scum. He looks like the a member of the Gotti family, talks like a cheezy audition for the Suprano's and has the perfect Maf Quaf - "Mafia Hair-Do". He is Sleeza-rio !!

Frankly, I think I know where Nassau County's budget money disapeared years ago - It went into Peterson and Gullota's hair care products !!!

No wonder we are in debt.

Here's a script for a new movie for "THE GREG FATHER":

Scene 403: Night: We see Gregg Peterson sleeping. Suddenly he wakes up in a cold sweat. He turns on the lights and notices blood on his hands. He throws back the sheets of the bed and discovers....The bloody head of Denis Dillon in his bed !!!! He screams uncontrollably !!!!!

Cut To: Tom Suozzi laghing as he is re-elected !!!!

FINIS

I like Greg and I am voting for him. However, Suozzi will win and it will be a landslide! At least 60% or better. Greg has no money and has run a lackluster campaign. Suozzi has oodles and oodles of money and unfortunately to his credit, has turned the county's economic budget around. Reps. should try to hang on to their strengths in this election and forego the county executive's race.

By the way, even w/Suozzi's strength, Clavin will beat Weitzman and O'Connell narrowly beats Ferrell. Dillon will be upset by Rice. You heard it here first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I think is hysterical is that Peterson is not Italian. Cut to: You guys are f#%ing losers.

Thanks for the typical insults directed towards Italian Americans
If you are Italian American yourself then a double pox on you.
By the way, Greg is of Armenian decent.
I am going to vote for him.
He may not win but at least he wants to be the Executive
Not Governor or Attorney General
Have a nice day.

this whole thread is ridiculous. the repubs are in a holding pattern just tryng to maintain ground. They will keep spending their war chest accumulated over decades. They will soon run out. its a war of atrition with repubs on losing side for many reasons

Disconcerting

unfortunately, you are dead on. How can we raise more $ into the future if we are losing control of the power? it is very disconcerting. it may take another generation for it to swing back.

So if you think about it, a vote for a Democrat, even in a minor race that they can't win is a vote AGAINST the current Republican "leadership" and maybe we can get our act together under Chuck Fusillo or Eugene Balboni in 2006 when the Dems are coming for Pete King... yikes!

Single digit win for the Suozz. Just enough to get the A.G. nomination next year.

If Andy Cuomo wants the nod, Suozzi is sh*t outta luck. I think Suozzi will be locked off the undercard of the statewide ticket and will roll the dice. It's his only move.

Greg does not have it. People remember the six day wonder. The recent mailing about jobs by the Dems have only served to get my neighbors more mad about the TOH and her tax increases.

Greg will go quitely into the night. Kate may go too ... That will be close. That will be the end of Joe.

Time for the party to rebuild we have nothing at the local level, nothing at the state level. Nassau went from number one to number none. Best thing for all of us is a Dem Sweep. That will clear out the Dead Wood in the GOP. Things dont look good for next year either. May loose the Senate.

Maybe we can entice back all those up-and-comers who defected to the Dems.
