It is absolutely outrageous for Kate Murray to be paying her 79 year old father 115k a year as a paralegal and her brother 65k a year, and countless committeefolks 75k a year on average, when the Town pays seasonal sanitation works $7 an hour,

It can't afford to pay hard working sanitation works a living wage, but it can pay a small fortune to their family and friends. I heard that they had 30 teenager at the beach this year to answer 2 phone lines. $2000 a day to answer phones.

The entire TOH leadership - except Bonilla who is too stupid to know he's being used - should be called on the carpet if not prosecuted for the way they mismanage. Go to it Harvey.

He will raise everyone by 25% and seasonals by 3% unless connected.

AHHH - that explains alot. The paralegal job - ie: law assistants- are civil service but there's no test for it and no list. It's by appointment. When you go to the TOH civil service - it's listed in the books but if you try submitting a resume to apply for the job - instead of leaving an envelope for them to mail you an exam application when they give the test (because there is no test) - they mail it back to you saying they don't accept resumes. So now I know how you get that job.

Not that Tom Suozzi is any better. He's giving all his appointed clerks civil service job titles of law assistant. Law assistant in the county attorney's office used to be the grade and salary they hired entry level law school graduates at until they became lawyers when they passed the bar. Now he gives that grade and salary to clerks who have no legal experience or knowledge whatsoever and the clerks who worked there for years have been relagated to working in cubes the size of a small water closet and spending their days basically making photocopies and filing things away. These so called law assistants - legal clerks whatever - don't do any legal work - because they can't - and do basically personal duties for the so-called supervising and senior lawyers. They get paid for a job they don't do and shouldn't have been allowed to qualify for.

Now what? Karl Kampe was the GOP guy at civil service who Tom Suozzi fired and replaced with Tom Williams, a Democrat who was a stand-up guy and wouldn't permit civil service violations and circumventions. SO Tom Suozzi fired him and hired back Karl Kampe - whose predecessor was a guy called Sinnott who is now in charge of the NYS Civil Service Commission. See how this works?

It doesn't matter what political party is in power. What's important is that the guy in charge have integrity and ethics. Tom Suozzi has proven repeatedly he has none. So I say - let's try out Greg Peterson.

The differance is the Dems brought in people from other counties, who don't even pay the high taxes property taxes of Nassau County... Thank's to Harvey... more houses are on the market than ever...
