The next big idea is...sue your lawyer to recoup the judgement. Not a bad idea if it works.

But couldn't NH get a better lawyer to represent this case? His quotes in Newsday are pathetic.

I've never known a competent attorney who didn't sound good in print. The incompetent ones however...

who gave the Town of North Hempstead was Ivan Kline. He then left an dwnet ot Winston and Strawn where he gave the Town the same advice he gave as Town Attorney.

No one who knows the facts (this was a sham garbage deal from the get go) believes that the Town Officials ever really believed they did not have to repay the $8.5 million they borrowed.

What is sadder, the Town could have settled the matter for the loan amount, but decided against it. Blame the Lawyers if you want, but utilmately the town officals messed this up.

But the Dems, as they always do, blame someon else. Taking responsibility is not in their make up.
