Sometimes you have to ask..."What were they thinking?"
Judge is Gross

I'm sure it was just an oversight, he is a democrat running for re-election this year as "the law and order judge". At least 1010Wins reported his enrollment.
I'm sure is was an honest mistake by News12 and Newsday. They probably would have done the EXACT same thing to a republican....right?

Federal authorities today arrested a Nassau judge and about a dozen other men after an FBI probe into illegal gambling, extortion and money laundering.
Nassau District Court Judge David Gross was arrested along with three members of the Genovese crime family and 11 other co-defendants, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
The men face various charges, including illegal gambling, extortion and money laundering. After the arrests, they were processed at the FBI office in Melville and are expected to be arraigned this afternoon in Federal District Court in Central Islip.
Gross had issued an order of protection against Michael Lohan, the father of teen actress Lindsay Lohan, earlier this year.
"He's a respectable judge and not an associate of organized crime," said Gross' lawyer, John Carmen, of Garden City. Carmen said he had not yet seen the FBI's paperwork in the morning arrests.
The arrests were made at various places on Long Island, including in West Hempstead and Farmingdale. Specific charges and the locations of the arrests were not immediately known.
The arrests are the result of a 2½-year investigation that included wiretaps, undercover work and search warrants.
An FBI agent posed as an undercover trafficker in stolen diamonds who needed to launder large amounts of cash, the agency said. The agent met with two members of the Genovese crime family and Gross in January at the Garden City Hotel, the U.S. Attorney's Office told The Associated Press.
The U.S. attorney also told the AP that the judge indicated that he had no problem getting rid of cash, and that he knew people in the diamond business.
The Associated Press contributed to this story.

Democrat, Republican, Independent...doesn't seem like much of an oversight.
Looks more like David is pretty much neck deep in a heep of trouble and his rising star is about to fizzle.

Hes gross. Hes no effing good. LOL As bad as the Reps and Conservatives like Bogsted.
really truly old news

Mogill was never convicted of any criminal activity. Mogil allegedly behaved really badly towards a lawyer with whom he was feuding. Gross is accused of laundering money for an alleged organized crime family. If true, Gross's behavior makes the average Brooklyn Democratic Judge look like Francis of Assisi.

Maybe he should have stabbed his wife like Republican Judge Kotwa.

Nah...that Democrat POS would have had Fat Tony rub her out.

Maybe he should have stabbed his wife like Republican Judge Kotwa.
Actually that was the result of mental illness on the part of the judge. In this instance it appears that Judge Gross's state of mind is not in question.

The Suozzi/Gross connection. We shall soon find out. :D
Don't do that...
If you knew anything, you'd know that Judge Gross was this kind of person way before Tom Suozzi was ever in town. It was just a question of time before he was going to self destruct.
David dug his own hole. There is no Suozzi/Gross connection.
Don't try to light a fire because you got no fuel here...zero!
So take you sorry, lame rumors and step off...jackass!

Suozzi made telephone calls on behalf of "Judge" Gross and supported him and is or was supporting his run financially this time around too. Gross is EXACTLY the type of guy Suozzi loves to hire - his administration is full of Gross like types. Some are getting caught - some still think their feces don't stink.

I guess I hit a nerve, TURK. There is a connection between Suozzi and Gross. To bad the fundraiser they planned for him in LongBeach didn't happen before he got busted. Suozzi is nervous and it shows. :D

Suozzi has shown his support and made phone calls on behalf of EVERY party candidate on a ballot...not just Gross. Do you honestly think he would have done so if he knew what Gross was up to...please!

A. The only thing you hit on was making yourself just another example of a person who knows not what he speaks of...
B. You are trying to bend it so as to suggest that Tom Suozzi was in on David Gross' antics.
If you're going to make a statement...back it up with a fact, or better yet, have a point...it makes it so much better for the reader.
But since you can't, you're just another republican on the bandwagon whose sole purpose is just to smear Suozzi.
It lame...it's old...step off.
Now that you mention it

I recalled hearing rumors back when the Suozzi's were the royal heirachy back in Glen Cove about their connections. Makes sense. They have an awful lot of favors being called in by the construction and real estate industry.

Ah Ha! I found the Suozzi/Gross connection...
The common thread is that they both ran republicans out of office.

For the conspiracy theorists out there.....just look at the attorneys who represent the defendants in the action. Look to the lawyers who represent the judge, and the others.....

Suffolk Judges are a whole world worse than Nassau, they just have powerful state republican protection from investigations. Just investigate the ones from Brookhaven and that are now elevated, but remember the campaign finance records don't survive long in Suffolk.
