Would anyone like to compare the two movements and the various ways in which the media have covered the very different groups?

1. TEA party were labeled Racists by the Media.

2. TEA party was not given the coverage as the OWS has.

3. Right out lies from the Media concerning the TEA party.
Almost two million rallied in DC on 9/12 and the Lame Stream media
said there were a couple thousand people.

4. Not one bit of violence ever at a TEA party rally

Folgers.

Turns out there are costs associated with a tent city, few of which are being picked up by the occupiers. . I’m just going to put together a list of costs mentioned in the press and I’ll continue to update this over the next few weeks:
Occupy Asheville – $170,000
Occupy Atlanta – $451,691
Occupy Austin – $78,000
Occupy Boston – $150,000
Occupy Charlotte – $1,700 per day
Occupy Denver $365,000
Occupy LA – $45,000 plus estimated $400,000 to repair the lawn
Occupy Minneapolis – $200,000
Occupy New York – $3,400,000
Occupy Oakland – $2,000,000 for police overtime alone
Occupy Philadelphia – $500,000
Occupy Phoenix – $200,000
Occupy Portland – $208, 796
Occupy Raleigh – $51, 000
Occupy Sacramento – $300,000
Occupy San Diego – $49,000
Occupy San Francisco – $100,000
Occupy Seattle – $426,000
Total: $9,111,487
Some of these numbers haven’t been updated in more than a week, so they’ll go up. And I’m sure I’ve missed a few cities.

Tea Party= racist, homophopic and against women's rights.

Occupy Wall Street Protesters= Racist, Anti-Semitic and against Women Rights

Democrats and their media brethren have ignored racist and anit semitic remarks by many ows protesters and women have a right not to be raped and sexually abused as has occurred at ows protests across the country

To sum it up best, violence has erupted at many ows protests and none at Tea Party rallies

Tea Party members respect the police, ows protesters deficate on police cars

You cannot prove a single one of these silly points. You're wrong on all counts.

Why state the obvious? You're not exactly breaking ground by bringing up media bias. It's an old horse that's been beat to death. I'm a conservative person, but there are much bigger things to worry about than media coverage. That's the problem. People are obsessed over a non-issue. You've been brainwashed into thinking what some doped up retread hippie on t.v. thinks or reports. It doesn't matter! And for that matter, what Bill O'Reilly or Hannity(republican water-carrier), or Rush Limbaugh(Republican boot licker) thinks doesn't mean shit either. Those guys are in it for the money. They care about ratings and selling books. If you want to hear 100%, un-biased, non-partisan, un-abashed TRUTH, tune into 710 M-F @ 6:00 p.m.

Public needs a lot better system of checks and balances than it has now and the media use to be pivotal in that. Now it's an arm mainly for liberal democrats.

It always was a arm for liberal Democrats, and they are pissed off as all hell not that Fox News and the internet can get out all"versions of the story"

Thank you for affirming my point. It's not the media's job to provide "checks and balances". As slanted as the media is, and as hard as they try to warp facts; facts are facts. Take 'em, and form your own opinion. Why anyone would even waste their time watching cable or network news is beyond me. Just a bunch of ill-informed book hawkers. The media is useless. When was the last time you saw a news story, and thought to yourself, "Wow. Great investigative reporting." It's all opinion, and spoon-fed talking points from either the left or the right. It's for imbeciles.

It was a important requirement for the founding fathers to have a free press, so the government would not be the sole source of information.

There are plenty of examples of good investigative reporting, the uncovering of the ATF Gunrunning scandal and coverup is one story the government would prefer to remain unearthed.
The report on the stock purchases of members Congress, the Committees they sit on, and the timing of their purchases in various companies coinciding with the legislation before their committee, and so on and so on.

Perhaps there could be more, but some of them still do their job

Here's the problem. Congress insider trading should be the only story in the 24/7 news cycle, and they should all be fired. But the hinting and initimating are enough for the people. Nothing will be done.
Fast and Furious - should be the only other story. Holder and Obama should be hanged. Again, nothing will be done. Sure, those are good, newsworthy stories, but Kim Kardashian's divorce gets more air time. I don't blame the press, I blame the audience.
