Who sabotaged Germino with the cell phone going off 30 seconds into his opening comments on the news 12 debate?
This should have been re-done.....Did ch 12 sabotage Germino?

This will be a turn out driven race. Nobody really cares about News 12 Debates. Germino did very well in Glen Cove against Lavine. Lavine won because of Plainivew numbers, but actually lost in Glen Cove.Whitton is largely, in fact almost wholly, going to rely upon her family pedigree in this matter, and whatever "following" she has a Glen Cove Councilwoman Whitton will hope to bank on her family's pedigree, although she is now a part of the Suozzi machine. This race is going to focus on Glen Cove. Taking a shot at Germino's service in Iraq is not going to help Ms. Whitton and could backfire with the voters she was supposed to take away from Germino. Germino has to execute a strategy, and overcome months of waiting for the courts to resolve the redistricting cases. Whitton has a huge head start in this regard, and has executed her strategy.

News 12 debates mean nothing.
Don Deriggi hasn't been involved for 20 years and wasn't really that well liked to begin with.
Also, putting up a million signs on the public right-of-ways isn't going to help Don. Try not to let so many people see you doing it.
This race will be under 400 votes one way or another.
As goes Meli and crew so goes Germino. They SEEM to be working harder than before. Who knows if its enough.
Glen Cove is one step above or at junk bond status. How much longer can this continue?
Obama is still a drag on democrats.
Having the CSEA and PBA endorse you could be the kiss of death this year.

HM, gotta give this race to Delia-Riggi Whitton. Germino has been doing nothing to get him elected. No organization, not putting the time into getting elected, anything.
If Germino actually tried, I would give him a good margin of victory. But neither candidate is really trying, therefore the race will split along partisan lines and the democrats have the upperhand in this district.

Reps out number Dems in that district. Again, this election is premised on turn out. We've all heard out Glen Cove is supposedly sick of the Suozzis, but their candidates keep on winning. Germino has an uphill battle, but he is the superior candidate and has the right message.

Really? I thought the dems outnumbered the reps. Either way I expect it to be a close contest. Wish I knew more about how much each party is contributing.

Germino won Glen Cover in 2010, should be interesting since that's Whitton territory. She can't win without it.

She can't just win it, she has to bury Germino there since the rest of the district is red.
