Definetely many more young dems who are being prepped to run, some sooner than others.
The reps only have a few young ones that could run but they're too conservative for next generation NC.
Makes me wonder...

On the Republican Side, you have alot of fresh faces. Beth Faughnan is definitely an up and comer. Don Clavin, Hempstead tax receiver, is definitely considered a rising star. And let us not forget about Jim Hennessey, long beach city council president. there are some who want him to be the next 'face' of the Nassau GOP.

Also guys like Chris Coschignano, Chuck Fuschillo, and Balboni are all considered to have bright futures. Well see!

Craig Johnson and Kevan Abrahams -- both Nassau County Legislators -- each under 35 and likely to run for state legislative seats when available.

Jon Kaiman -- perhaps the next County Executive after Suozzi

Maybe the next CE will be Pat Harrington or Frank Moron. That seems to be the best the NH gop can do these days...

There is no one I can see. The older politicians really don't seem to be taking on any mentoring roles. They look for people already connected rather than growing talent. Its a shame...there are some pretty smart young people out there.

For the Reps if you are not part of the connected few, you are toast. The Executive Areas have at least 2 to 5 people, per area, who could be groomed, but it will not happen. Most of the leaders are too concerned with protecting themselves and their little fiefdoms than groom future leaders. In reality, many of the young reps who could be tapped, see that the Republican Party has no place for them, so they become democrats. The Democrats are smart, they know how to bring the young over to them. To bad the Republicans really have no idea, and are so isolated in their ivory towers (the same towers that are being surrounded and being laid seige). In the end, this will be the final nail in the coffin. Bringing out the same old faces....truly sad, pathetic actually.

john degrace should be commended for the work he has put into getting the young republicans on track he should be the next party leader after fatso is gone because he knows how to rebuild this sorry party

Let me say right her, right now, that there will be a new representative for the 3rd Congressional District of New York come January of 2007. Furthermore, you dont even know who it is going to be.

The 3rd District will be walked, and re-walked, to secure that people know that a change is necessary

On the Dem side, the up and comers are Rafe Lieber, David Chauvin and Matt Groneman.

Between the three of them you have about 90% of the brains of the Democratic Party.

Rafe Lieber is being groomed to work his way up in Great Neck and then North Hempstead. That'll happen b/c people are already expressing support.
David Chauvin is very, very media savvy and the dems will do well with him as part of their future.
Matt G has been involed with many campaigns and is now up at HQ continuing to get his friends elected.
Lets not forget...
Ian Seigel who is eventually gonna be the Mayor of Glen Cove,
Vin Grasso who will eventually win in Valley Stream b/c of his wholesome Italian last name (althought he'd do nicely as the dem commissioner at the BOE)
Wayne Wink who will be Craig's successor...
Craig is gonna be the next state senator...(yea a current rep seat).
Don't wanna name any others, I'd rather wait to see rep faces when they find out
If you're a dem and you're gonna talk bad about these people, then you're jealous not to be on "The List"...

vin grasso is a born looser just like all the other dems

hey i thought Altmann was the next c.e. elect?

Grasso for Commissioner
08-24-2005, 11:25 AM
vin grasso is a born looser just like all the other dems

When they take his bosses out in handcuffs the party should make Vincent Grasso BOE commissioner. He knows more than all his bosses combined.

Vinny should then send Sciggly Wiggly into the basement with her buddy Daly. Although he should be one of those who leaves in cuffs, and if so Sciggly should be charged as his accomplice.

what about Dave Feinberg?

Shoo in for County Executive after Suozzi is indicted and runs away to live with Roman Polansky.
