WNBC Cameraman was attacked by a Suffolk County EMS officer

A WNBC Cameraman was attacked by a Suffolk County EMS officer at a Haz-Mat seen in Bohemia New York. The cameraman was filming the aftermath of a chemical spill inside a commercial building that unleashed fumes. The accidental mixing of chemicals sickened 54 workers at a cellphone refurbishing plant in Bohemia.

The cameraman did not cross any police lines and was within his rights to film. The EMS Person Is yelling at the cameraman that he will have him arrested and is trying to rip the camera out of the cameraman's hands. The camera was damaged during the confrontation. Suffolk police can be sean in the video and took no action agains the EMS office who attacked the cameraman. Police escorted the cameraman down the block and erected police lines to keep the media back.

You can clearly hear the ems worker repeating a half dozen times "i told you to stop" He was alzo pushing the camera and at no time did he touch the reporter. You'll also notice that SCPD did xo something they also told the reporter to leave. Maybe NBC is the real parent company of Newsday and Channel 12...

The problem is the county ems gentleman thought he was county PD, Instead of getting into an issue with the reporter he should have picked up his radio at his side & called the command post and requested PD to do their job, another EMS clown trying to be a hero. The tax payers can only hope the new county CE will hire someone with a little more brains to do the EMS clowns job.

If you want to see the screwed up part go back and watch the report from news 12, the idiots were doing decon spraying down the hazmat guys right in the direction of there pile of drinking water. As for who the EMS guy is he is one of the wonderful county ems directors dont we feel safe NOT

You're right but there is a right way and a wrong way to fix that.

A. Don't act like a crazy person
B. Tell him to get behind the tape....where the video was shot from
C. If he doesn't listen, get one of the 100 cops standing around doing nothing.

With power comes responsibility....not what this showed. They were probably both wrong but the suit was "wronger"
