Disgruntled Taxpayer V

How the hell can you say that you are on government business when you are staying in posh hotels in Albany, and your trip is paid for by the Suozzi campaign? Mr. Cancellieri's job is Chief Deputy County Executive. His job is to run the County of Nassau, not to hob nob at some conference. Arda must be returning to her days of spinning for the Solomon Brothers of the World or one of those other challenged entities she did work for before she shilled for Herr Suozzi.
If a political campaign paid your freight, then by definition you are doing POLITICAL WORK, not governmental work, jackass.....Arda, you are an overpaid moron, because that is the impropriety in and of itself. Then again, if Suozzi hired intelligent operatives, he would be dangerous! so I guess we are lucky in that regard.
Indeed, Arda perhaps should be hauled before the grand jury at this point. Maybe she should hire a lawyer. In fact, I think there is some basis for indicting the entire Suozzi Administration, from Suozzi on down, on some form of RICO theory. Arda's comments demonstrate that the County may be considered a corrupted enterprise, whose goal is the re-election of the County Executive, and that felonious acts (such as stealing time and paying staffers for political work on the government dime) are being committed in the furtherance of this enterprise. But don't believe me, read this clip from Newsday, on its webpage, or in Tomorrow's paper:
"Just as Mr. Klein verified that Shomwa Shamapanda had worked when he had not, we now find Chief Deputy County Executive Cancellieri certifying that Michael Klein worked when he had not," Schmitt said. But Suozzi aide Arda Nazerian called Schmitt's comments "dishonest and politically driven." She said Klein was doing government business when he attended the April 15-17 Hispanic Task Force conference in Albany. She provided an agenda that included meetings in the legislative office building as well as political receptions in the Crowne Plaza hotel where Klein stayed.
"These were government meetings, government officials in government buildings," she said. "But there were also hospitality receptions and old-fashioned networking, so to avoid even the appearance of impropriety, the campaign paid that expense."
