Vivian Wong had about 1100 petition signatures for a primary but over 800 of them were challenged and many were thrown out. If she's smart and sensible she should use her energy to fight Avalon Bay and the Petrone higher density housing activists who want Huntington to look like Hempstead or Jamaica Queens.

How many were required? It's common sense to collect 2x the amount needed. That's how Barack won his elections early on, got all his challengers thrown off the ballot.

On these two counts, she does not pass the litmus test to be a designated candidate. While I admire her passion, she needs to channel it as a non public official.
