View Full Version : Useless, lying republican leaders

Name that leader
07-24-2011, 01:35 AM
So who has the balls to name the leaders that promised jobs, dangled carrots and came up short - especially in the mangano administration?
Was it them --- or Walker who told them to frack off?

no jobs

Walker aint giving you no job anyway - might as well spill it - save others from wasting their time

Gotta get Gary Port into the Town of Hempstead too = open jobs

She lied

She lied. or Walker said - FU. Probably alittle of both. If you're not Hicksville-Bethpage-Massapequa-Conservative - you're not anyone. At least not to them who shan't be named.

Infamous lines -

Leader: Don't worry - I'm "friends with ..." , I just spoke with him - he says you are "in" - you are "in his office" (I just don't have a start date for you yet) -- now come to this event .......

after the event ----Leader: who? what? when? I didn't say that ......

Walker: Oh - huh - what - I'm sorry - there's a hiring freeze now.

Darkness falls: Damato's daughter, GOP club president, Mondello's niece -- pardon me, excuse me - going through - gotta get to my new job now .....

Leader: Hey - don't question me. I've been a leader for a LOOOONG time - I know how to get people jobs ----

Walker: No, I'm sorry. Thanks for breaking your ass to get Ed elected but there's still a hiring freeze. I'll keep you updated though.

Mail comes - oh look. More tickets in an envelope. And look - a letter from unemployment.

Uh huh - oh yeah. I'm gonna vote for this coliseum deal to help bail Ed out. Sure I am.

So did you volunteer for Mangano because you thought he'd give you a job, or because you thought he was the best man for the job?

tongue in cheek

So did you volunteer for Mangano because you thought he'd give you a job, or because you thought he was the best man for the job?

"I'm Friends with" sounds like someone who may have had a job with a previous administration, did some dirty work on behalf of that previous administration, and got let go at some point because he or she may have been on the losing side of history. So that person is pissed. Then there are others who may have handed out some pamphlets who feel they're owed the world and didn't achieve their expectations. Hopefully those people find what they're looking for in this tough environment.

wow... you called it regarding "I'm Friends with..." The writing style of his post resembled the campaign blog of a former candidate for office who held a government job. Hypocrisy sucks.

Promised jobs? Aren't you Republicans who believe in small government???

Yeah - I believe the low level, low paid insignificant union workers should be fired. They don't "know" anyone, have no "friends" and aren't "active" members of the pay to play club. I think the foot soldiers should be screwed too. Let's tell them - we'll keep them updated on the hiring freeze, so they keep coming to events, knocking on doors, making phone calls, sending emails, posting helpful propaganda and talking to their neighbors. But they're desperate idiots or naive imbeciles who we can manipulate. They will keep following the dangling carrot until we get the next group of new immigrants, high school graduates, fraternity drinking greeks to join up. Or their parents start dragging them into meetings. So yeah - small government is cool. All we need are enough jobs to cover the friends and family of the big guns. Look at how well the Town Of Hempstead keeps those jobs under control. There's been a hiring freeze there for - oh - 20 years or so now.

Sign me, all for the republican platform but voting against the candidates - that's all.

And still ... Suozzi era appointed democrats are still still still collecting paychecks and in positions of management.

So since Mangano has taking office and put Walker in charge of hiring for Ciampoli - I know at least 3 Suozzi loving democrats still earning 6 figure paychecks. Well republican supporters who put Mangano in office are dodging creditors and going to health clinics in Hempstead, these people have earned another $220,000 plus benefits and pension time.

Good job Walker.

I think in the future - the county executive candidates must be forced to announce who their deputies will be should they be elected - just like the governor and the president have to pick running mates.

We should be able to vote on the package.

I wonder who the GOP candidate will be in 2012? Mangano should be slamming a gavel by then.

Ha ha ha - or if they really really feel generous - they offer you a minimum wage job or something that concerns a mop and a broom. Someone has to actually do some agency work after all. But those slogs who carry petitions and buy event tickets while showing up at all the rallies and kissing ass - they will never see a higher level, high paying job. No matter how qualified they are.

Voted no. I don't care about the coliseum or the property tax increase. I voted no to pass a message to Mangano & Walker - I don't like how you've been doing business and I'm not giving you another cent to play with.

Apparently he told my leader a job was offered to me and I refused it. Not true Rob. People talk you know. Tsk Tsk. Desperate measures & Ed loses. If there's no primary - then the GOP loses. And even after more layoff lists came out - many holdovers - republican traitors and Suozzi democrats - remain unscathed. Unbelievable.

Gotta get Gary Port into the Town of Hempstead too = open jobs

The scuttlebutt now is that Port, the guy running for Hempstead Supervisor, will be given the nod in September to run for the Supreme Court and, since he no longer has a home in Mineola because of the new district lines, Dave Denenberg will run against Kate Murray.

That will be an interesting race to watch now.

Had to be for the job....he certainly wasn't the best man for the job....an empty suit, at best, in all his years on the Leg, the man runs for CE claiming to have "a plan".

Turns out, after a year and a half, the plan is to "make it up as they go along."

Truly - people have their belief, their civic pride blah blah blah but in the end - its all about what they get out of it. A job, a contract for them or their family or the power to get a job or a contract for their family.

Mangano broke the rules - screwed campaigners - froze them out - kept the democrats close -

Ed you suck. Rob you suck more. I am so enjoying watching your administration go down in flames.

Either the GOP runs somebody other than Mangano-Walker in 2013 or republicans toss support to the democrat. Might as well. Walker didn't fire alot of the democrats anyway and he told alot of the republicans no job due to budget crisis so you really can't do worse to jump on a democrat's bandwagon. My hands are in my pocket as long as Mangano is in charge.

At least Suozzi brought in people from his own party. Not only did Mangano screw republican foot soldiers out of jobs by keeping Suozzi democrats in them, but now he's spending money on imported democrats too? Holy crap. He has lost his mind along with his supporters. Is Mondello running a primary in 2013 to save what's left of the party loyalist or what?

Oh there were plenty of jobs that got filled. The layoffs are the civil servants to make room for all the people hired. All the people that mangano and walker wanted to give jobs to - got jobs. Damato, Mangano, Donovan - they all got their people taking care of - even at the expense of the foot soldiers that the leaders tried to get jobs for. You have commissioners and deputies with barely an education and no experience in jobs - in some cases they replaced the people who retire or were fired with double the staff or more. They hired everyone they wanted to hire and they gave out plenty of promotions and yup - pay raises. Mangano is killing the taxpayers - but his family and walker's albany pals all have jobs. The people who volunteered for his campaign, got screwed. The people who worked for their leaders, got screwed. I just hope these people Mangano & his staff chief went to bat for will help them when we lay them off. And we will. And it will start with giving the democrats a majority in the legislature - in some very surprising districts that Mangano & Mondello take for granted too.

And how many of those high level hot shots that actually got Mangano jobs walked into his campaign headquarters and did any work to get him elected? Not very many. That's why nobody is working anymore. They promise you everything - and they give you nothing. All the same hacks cash in all the same chips - time after time after time & there's never anything left over for the rest. And that's how I see it.

Voted NO. How's that hiring freeze coming along? Still able to pay those democrats?

So how many of those democrats bought tickets to any conservative party or republican fundraisers lately?

Mangano is telling Newsday he's going have to fire again unless department heads can come up with ways to save. Does that include the democrats running bureaus over at the county attorney's office? They got to recommend what republicans to fire before and now Rob Walker is once again - giving them the authority.

How many bills did Rob get sponsored into law during the whole time he was an assemblyman? Anybody know? Just curious if he was as big an ass in Albany as he is in Mineola. But then he trained as Mangano's intern didn't he? Question answered.

The Dems must takeover the legislature next. They thought by telling their supporters there's a hiring freeze while catering to the holdovers they would win friends. A walmart security guard could have seen that strategy would fail. Now let them try to progress with the dems in charge of the legislature. That will have to be the next step because its clear they still haven't learned that they can't keep using foot soldiers without spreading some of the victory around. I rather see the other side win than continue to be screwed by my own party. Nothing gained - nothing to lose. And that's what happens when you screw your supporters.

In Port they ran umknowns, even if we had legit titles- Chief Dog Catcher, we would of won. You can't contribute when you're unemployed because Ed Mangano screwed you after using you to get himself elected and you're not related to Kate Murray or one of her boys. Even $20 buys 2 nights food for a family of 4 if you cook pasta & gravy and make meatloaf. They think these tickets are cheap. Let them try being unemployed for a year and then see what they think. First the jobs - then the donations. All I got were empty promises.

Problem is too many of them think its still the 1980's and the GOP thinks the same 80's mentality is going to work 3 decades later. Mangano won because Suozzi screwed too many of his own and had nobody left who cared about him - he didn't staff close to his heart. Mangano already made the same mistakes - owed largely due to Rob Walker - and will not get a second term.
