This link was a brilliant slice of life of Tom Suozzi, and sums up his insatiable social and political ambitions. As a guy who has his roots and spends much of his time in "the Nabes," I find it both odd and insulting that the social smart set refers to Mr. Suozzi as "a wise guy."

Like it or not, this link demonstrates that on some level Tom Suozzi still can't measure up to the social swells and social x-rays whose asses he apparently kisses at this tired affairs. Tom Suozzi is the Max Bialystock of Nassau County Politics. I guess this is how Tom would up with Lorna "Touch Me/Feel Me" Goodman as his County Attorney.


Sadly, Boston College and Fordham Law do not equal Harvard Undergrad, "Ox-Bridge for Grad School, and Yale Law. I guess having a Pop who was an Judge in the Second Department still doesn't equal having a Pop who presides over the Second Circuit or was the Ambassador to the Duchy of Grand Fenwich. So poor Tom has to try that much harder.

And for goodness sake, it is pathetic that the article had to instruct this retarded blue bloods that the man's name is "pronounced Swazzee." God, this affair reminds me of that awful scene in "The Aviator" where Howard Hughes had to deal with the obnoxious and thoroughly awful Kate Hepburn clan. Guess everyone aspires to their own versions of hell. Poor guy. He was once a normal fellow. And to think, if he would have hired local people to staff his administration and if he took some tough conservative stands on some social issues, he could have been the next Steve Levy.

This guy is not capable of doing anything right for what he was voted in for. Just take a look at his home town and see just how he discribes "revitalization! Sprawl without growth!

Look a bit more closly at his fellow diners that night. Lets take a look at the last two who attempted this, Lieberman & Kerry, the mentality , I refuse to give up my day job! It shows weakness , lack of true commitment of ideals, and most important vision!


Its time for all party line people to register independent and vote across the board for what is best for your neighborhood and Nassau County. Because no time soon will you or I be making the social page!

To the Editor:

I must respond to "Bad Times in Levytown" (editorial, July 24), which links a number of unrelated hate crimes to Suffolk County's arrest of a slumlord who destroyed a neighborhood and put the lives of scores of tenants at risk.

Hate crimes are the sole responsibility of the cowards who perpetrate them, not elected officials. The Times, which views this issue through race-colored glasses, has inflamed the debate to an intolerable level.

Your implication that this slumlord's firetrap was closed to pander to white residents of Farmingville is not only insulting to me, an official addressing unsafe conditions.

It is also an affront to the thousands of Latino homeowners who want housing codes enforced as much as whites, African-Americans or people of any race or background.

And it is insulting to the thousands of residents who want simply to live in a community free of grossly overcrowded boarding homes housing more than 60 individuals.

You also continue to mock the good name of the overwhelming number of hard-working residents in Farmingville by insinuating that they are xenophobic bigots who cheer the heinous actions of rogue vigilantes who assault the innocent.

To The Times, anyone who disagrees with its opinion is engaged in demagoguery to raise poll numbers. Contrary to your editorial, I fully recognize that I am not a prosecutor or a housing enforcer. I am simply an official responding to constituents who have been ignored by representatives who fear The Times will label them anti-Latino.

As an assemblyman, I reaped huge electoral victories in the Brentwood Hispanic community because I listened to the concerns of the residents.

It may come as a surprise to you, but the No. 1 concern for these Hispanic families was not immigration or race. It was code enforcement and the integrity of their neighborhoods.

This scmuck thinks he is George Baily from that great film classic! remember that puffpeice in the Glen Cove Record Newspayer saying how he wants to fight all the Mr.Potter's out there???? Well one has to think that he has been watching Spitzer for some time who has long been called the "Jimmy Stewart" that will go to Albany, long before this wet behind the ears pretty boy came along.
Which indicates while he was setting up high speed ferry sevice to a tax free Indian Reservation in CT, in Hempstead Harbor, and making deals with developers for high rise apartment complex's, all to line his yellow brick road, he has never had his eye on the ball, much less the Mr.Potter's that are destroying your life, and making you pay for the distruction.

Lets recount, ferry gone, empty concrete shell's sprawl without growth, NYC residents using our Parks as daycamps... do I need to go on?

Who gives two hoot's about blueblood's or any other swiss account liberal.The icon's of society past are now represented by disfunctional youth of the Hilton's and that ilk, who gives a S>>T, about compulsive shopping four time divorced, as you call them social x-ray's. at one time possibly they set the foundation but by all mean's, if you think they are your survival, then cut their grass and hope for a cottage on their estates.

Too many smart people out there of all races, that want a safe haven they can call home, people who are willing to work hard and yes should be able to demand the best for their families.


As for Levy & Spitzer, well let's just say they had "good Jewish Mother's" who raised them right, and quite possibly understood what the American Dream really is all about.Protecting Freedom for the person with passion, and an eye on those that expliot!Perhaps their memories are a bit more current, then a rat invested ship that landed on a rock in Mass. To bad this camara loving telegenic acting as the Nassau County CE, truly has forgotten his roots. That in the end is the true sad story.
