Statistics show they're already there. Who cares? Why do so many gay people make their sexual orientation what identifies them? I'm not gay, and I couldn't care less if gay people got married, I have gay friends, if my kids turn out gay, so what?, but why does it have to be so in the fore of their existence for so many? I don't have a straight pride bumper sticker on my car, or whatever the opposite is of a rainbow. I'm not organizing heterosexual pride parades.
I'm glad gay marriage passed in New York. It will help the economy(weddings create a lot of jobs / gigs). Funny how people who are so against taxes don't want a certain segment of the population to get the tax benefits of being married because it's to a member of the same sex. Very hypocritical. Very un-accepting. Very un-Christian.
But again, why does it have to be so in your face?

The only people who care about this issue are a few people who will never join and volunteer anyway. I am gay, that's right - and every guy in my firehouse is aware of my sexual preference. They don't care and neither do I. I joined the FD because I read on a Gay website that Gay men and Women are the least likely to volunteer their time to anything except a political campaign. I talked with friends and honestly couldn't find one gay friend who donated time to anything, any cause. When I talked to straight friends and straight family members it became evident that gay people just don't vounteer? So I do.

Honestly there's nothing wrong with people who are attracted to the same sex, it's not your fault women hate men and men use women. Unfoturnatly all this "gay awareness" did was stir up drama and heck I hope they all get married it's more $$$ for our Eco. All I ask is that if we are friends treat me as such. Not hard to ask for right? There is no need for people to boast about there preference or color or social status. Be human enjoy what life is worth, I myself have a few friends who are attracted to the same sex and their fun to hang with and they respect that I like the opposite sex an they don't hit on me or blame it on the "alcohol" the act as their gender and just are gay. Point is all the publicity of being gay isn't what the world needs it needs to stop being a sissy and take control of it's people and start worrying about what's going on instead of what's around it right?. Plus no offense I don't think having a rainbow colored flag on your front porch is what being an American means...
