A National Star ?

Last night O'Reilly interviewed Steve Levy and told him to literally hang in there.
He told him to come back to the program to report what is taking place.
O'Reilly asked Steve if Newsday was still instigating hateful reports and editorials which Levy said happened right after the crackdown began.
Levy came acroos as someone who is a true leader and doesn't care the way political correct winds blow. It's a matter of right and wrong. Legal and illegal.

Levy learned from the failures of Pat Halpin. Pat Halpin is Herr Suozzi's role model. Halpin tried to screw the local people (including his own party members) and import City Hacks, much like Suozzi did. Levy built his government with people from Suffolk. Suozzi wants to build Sixty eight story towers in Central Nassau, and turn Nassau into the 6th borough of New York. Levy wants to a) crack down on illegal aliens, b) enforce the federal and local laws, and c) supports English as our official language. And finally, Levy has committed to fighting workers compensation fraud. Suozzi's people are so inept that they had to give a hefty contract out to a third party administrator to fix their mess of a workers compensation system. And the funny thing is..... Guess who is charge of workers compensation in Nassau..... Yes, an 18 year veteran of the NYC Corporation Counsel's office who spent his career sending little kids to really bad schools upstate.....

Leave Steve alone - he's only doing what he has to do. The Feds won't do their jobs.
Tullo and Levy

two civil servants who stand up for their constituents
and Tullo is a good case in point to have council districts where you live in a town :)
More to go

At least 3 more overcrowded houses and unsafe living conditions in those houses are about to be closed down.
Looks like Tully and Levy are two exlemporary civil servants.
Unfortunately many of those illegal aliens will probably find housing in Huntington. Our code enforcement is almost non existant in some areas of town.

Mexican Drug Mercenaries Operating in U.S.
Posted by James Joyner at 07:01
The "Zetas," a group of Mexican commandos trained by the United States as an elite anti-narcotics force, is now operating in U.S. border towns as mercenaries for the drug cartels.
Mexican mercenaries expand base into U.S.A. (Washington Times)
A renegade band of Mexican military deserters, offering $50,000 bounties for the assassination of U.S. law-enforcement officers, has expanded its base of operations into the United States to protect loads of cocaine and marijuana being brought into America by Mexican smugglers, authorities said. The deserters, known as the "Zetas," trained in the United States as an elite force of anti-drug commandos, but have since signed on as mercenaries for Mexican narcotics traffickers and have recruited an army of followers, many of whom are believed to be operating in Texas, Arizona, California and Florida.
Working mainly for the Gulf Cartel, one of Mexico's most dangerous drug-trafficking organizations, as many as 200 Zeta members are thought to be involved, including former Mexican federal, state and local police. They are suspected in more than 90 deaths of rival gang members and others, including police officers, in the past two years in a violent drug war to control U.S. smuggling routes.
The organization's hub, law-enforcement authorities said, is Nuevo Laredo, a border city of 300,000 across from Laredo, Texas. It is the most active port-of-entry along the U.S.-Mexico border, with more than 6,000 trucks crossing daily into Texas, carrying about 40 percent of Mexico's total exports. Authorities said the Zetas control the city despite efforts by Mexican President Vicente Fox to restore order. He sent hundreds of Mexican troops and federal agents to the city in March to set up highway checkpoints and conduct raids on suspected Zeta locations.
Despite the presence of law enforcement, more than 100 killings have occurred in the city since Jan. 1, including that of former Police Chief Alejandro Dominguez, 52, gunned down June 8, just seven hours after he was sworn in. The city's new chief, Omar Pimentel, 37, escaped death during a drive-by shooting on his first day, although one of his bodyguards was killed.
Authorities said the Zetas operate over a wide area of the U.S.-Mexico border and are suspected in at least three drug-related slayings in the Dallas area. They said as many as 10 Zeta members are operating inside Texas as Gulf Cartel assassins, seeking to protect nearly $10 million in daily drug transactions. "
To assert that Suozzi bringing in professionals from outside the county as doing something wrong is plainly stupid. From day one Suozzi built a staff of people qualified and experienced in running an organization with a budget the size of Nassau and Suffolk's.
Comparing the administrative staffs is like comparing the ducks to the yankees. Levy's staff sure is homegrown ... and runs accordingly. Levy's people are a bunch of clowns who jump at the behest of their master.
