When will NYS ED Dept step to the plate and admit that Roosevelt,Hempstead and Wyandanch Schools are disfunctional because of the fact that they will employ 'ones of their own color'?
If any other district blatantly discriminated as these three do,Rev Al,Fred Brewington..et al would be playing the race card.
It'll never change because the Albany Albinos will continue to shove their heads in the sand and hope it all goes away.

They have full coverage on news 12. Stupid Sue Johnson was in the audience talkign about they either have to buy out her contract or she gets her job back. Oh really? I don't think so sweet pea. You ran the district in the ground go cause havoc some place else.

EVERYBODY -

SING ALONG!

08-02-2005, 09:07 PM
Ok so we've given them a chance. The budget is still late from what I hear. I suspect the staffing plans are complete. What's left to do according to the say so of the almighty commissioner whose a day late and MANY DOLLARS SHORT.

hard of hearing
08-03-2005, 12:22 AM
well, you hear wrong. I love this "I hear" stuff, which gives everyone an excuse to spread every lie and ugly rumor they want, under the guise that they "heard" it somewhere. Let's deal with facts.

the budget was adopted on time, and the Board is in full compliance with the Commissioner's directives.

08-03-2005, 12:50 AM
no the budget was not adopted on time. Dr. Clay had to ask for more time to "finalize it" - On time would have been in early June you idiot when all the rest of the school districts adopted there's.

wrongo
08-03-2005, 10:46 AM
the voters turned down the budget. The Board was directed by the Commissioner to adopt a new one by August 1, and the Board adopted one in July. The fine tuning is irrelevant; the budget was completed for all relevant legal purposes on time.

08-03-2005, 11:18 AM
stop making excuses for them. You know very well that the budget and the staffing plan were not even close to fruition which was teh commisioner's main concern. It wasn't finalized in late July because Dr. Clay was telling News 12 that he didn't want to "rush the process," and needed more time to finalize everything.

08-15-2005, 02:25 AM
WELL.............?

Dr. Clay
08-23-2005, 06:38 PM
How do we think Dr. Clay is making out!? So far I"ve been pleasantly surprised and impressed.

I am no fan of how he got to where he is in terms of the turnover etc. However, since taking the post he appears to be very responsive and have a good handle of the direction the distict needs to go in. So far so good. His predecessor - used to dance and run around a question and I think was far in over her head as superintendent of schools.

I got a nice chuckle reading Newsday - how the board of ed and superintendent were spinning that the comptroller's audit was "overexaggerated." Excuse me, but reimbursements to Board members without any documentation is not an overexaggerated claim. Malfeasance is malfeasance whether its a dollar or a hundred dollars. Shame on them for making excuses for their dysfunctionalism. They owe the children of this school district, and the hard working families that raise them a HUGE apology. And if they cared for the welfare of this district, those who received such reimbursements should step down immediately if not sooner.

09-09-2005, 03:07 PM
SHOW ME THE MONEY!

09-09-2005, 03:08 PM
IS THE MISSING MONEY UNDER DR. CLAY'S TENURE ON THAT OF THE TENURE OF HIS NO GOOD PREDECESSOR!?

09-10-2005, 12:33 PM

underexaggerater
09-11-2005, 01:47 PM
how can you "overexaggerate" something. Are there degrees of exaggeration? (underexaggerated, exaggerated, slightly exaggerated, very exaggerated, overexaggerated?)

These are school officials!! they shouldnt need remedial english
