Firstly, it it within common sense to dump Esposito. She is by far and wide the most substandard character the party ever put into office. She is mean, base and dishonest. She was appointed to cover the female slot and the blue collar slot and no more. She votes with LaValle at all council work sessions no matter what the issue might be, and although Lavalle is fully aware of her objectionable personality and faulty conscience supports her as a yes-woman. Her son James has a high paying non-job in the planning department , and all those there know he's a joke. At one time Esposito's character was unknown to the public, but now it is well-known. Therefore, knowing she will not stand re-election in her district, she was put into the clerk's spot to placate her and for the party to ease her away. She is a dangerous detriment to the party and must go.

Second: Tim Mazzei is a borderline crook. When he assumed his council post, the first move he made was to browbeat Bob Chartuk (Parks Commissioner) into having extensive and expensive work done at the docks and bulkheads of Davis Park. Interesting that this work abuts Mazzei's personal property there. He has not done one thing in benefit of his council district. There is a huge concern about a large building with a 300 car parking lot proposed to be built on a rather fashionable corner in Medford to which 99% of the residents object. This building is proposed by a tangent church organization. The word "church" is what's frightening him. The corner on which the building is proposed is a thoroughfare to three public schools, and would be the only non-residential structure in the area. The residents don't want this for a myriad of reasons. Mazzei to Medford: "Drop Dead".

Continuing ... Ed Hennesey is an entirely decent man whose dedication is unequivical. True, he is a tad eccentric, ergo disorganized, but is most fit to become town Supervisor. But Mr Foley is also a decent man who is equally dedicated. Problem is, Hennesey is equated with the ego driven (as opposed to public interest driven) Republicans. This is bad for him. The present administration dislikes him because he does not share that ego drive. He excepted himself from the current administration by assuming office space at the Brookhaven Airport rather than his assigned office at Town Hall for a while, to outwardly display his disassociation with the status quo. He truly must do more to separate himself if he is interested in beating Mr Foley, even if it means public renouncement of those who are more interested in political machinery than public good.

Jim Tullo is an extraordinary person in drive and enthusiasm. What he lacks in knowledge and intellegence is nearly made up by his energy. His district, however, has no association with him. This area is rather exceptional among Brookhaven council districts as it holds lower economic values and more unemployment and lower education than all the others. Jim has never discovered how to contact these issues, and more importantly, how to contact the residents. He's a man torn between not wanting to be an exception to the machine and finding a way to do the right thing for his contingents. He's found that if he stays polite to the machine, he might well foster political gain and if he serves his district he'll be labeled as a liberal thinker. He doesn't realize, however, that he's stuck between a rock and a soft place.

Rosenfeld is a Democrat in a Democrat area so I don't think its important to address his issues until another time. McCarrick is of such low intellegence that he is laughable. Badminton is a prime issue to him. Talk about political suicide. A different and more attuned candidate should be found. But as things lie, Kevin would have to get an expensive buy-out position in order to realign the Republican ticket. They just can't think outside of the machine.

To answer some who replied to these posts: Yes, I'm an insider - but certainly never a backstabber. That's the department of Esposito, George Hoffmann (investigated for bribe taking at his former job - it somehow dissapeared) and the exceptionally naive Chris Nuzzi. I simply want to see the Republican Party's candidates proceed in a gentlemanly and honest fashion. Power mongers are the downfall of Brookhaven Township and the undoing of the party. Yes indeed, I hate Esposito. Most people at Town Hall do. She is rude, cruel and crass. She has treated her last three aides like slaves. I witnessed particular incidents which were so inhumanly embarrassing to people, that I had to turn away. I could go into details, but that would put my postings in the realm of gossip (not rumors - gossip). She is a detriment and an embarrasment. I don't know for certain how highly paid her son, James is (its of public record) but the point is that he does nothing. Its a non-job in the Planning Department.

There is a situation kept exceptionally quiet concerning a town function which was once a volitile area. It concerns illegitamate payment to private enterprises and conflict of interest. There was a Kroll investigation of it not long ago, but somehow it was quieted by a town employee. My sources are getting the facts straight - separating fact from conjecture - and there will be more later.......

Well now there u go...Lori has been working this agenda from her days in the Civic....She holds posts / offices with an eye towards bigger better things. Strictly a headline grabber. Ok first off I read your posting and i agree with alot of what you say especially about Esposito I'm a republican voting against her if she wins the primary....sorry but i'm of principle and Esposito treats workers like crap. OK now, as far as Tim Mazzei Tim is as squeeky clean as they get, he has long term ambitions that require he stay on the right side of things and besides that he has morals. As for his brow beating of Bob Chartuk to put moneys into Davis Park, well Bob Chartuks budget in parks has neglected the south shore for years and years, thank god for the ward system we got Tim Mazzei and some representation. Tims property is nowhere near where the work was done at Davis Park and the work done at Davis park is not excessive, it simply fixed what was destroyed from Neglect. As for that church issue in Medford i'm not sure about that but Tim votes with his constituets ask the people near swan Bakery where walgreens wanted to move Tim heard the people and voted accordingly.......So take another look at Tim he's gotten more done in the ward 5 areas then have been done in years and Chartuk still managed to mis manage the Parks Budget AGAIN over spending on a useless crane that now has all the parks workers clipped of any overtime the man is a nice guy but he's a buffoon

Lori has a record of this in the civics and with the new park in Mount Sinai and has done a wonderful job in the Highways dept with Mr. Rouse

First of all when they let Bill Ellis stay in charge of thre GOP I knew we were In trouble. This guy is a joke and everyone knows this. All this cross endorsement is BS. Run someone, anyone but never turn belly up to the Dems. Then they kiss the ass of all these minor parties. We should never let the tale wag the dog. But this is what Bill Ellis is about. Talk about conflict. Ole Big Bill is on the payroll of SCCOA. This is a union of Suffolk Correction Officers. Now these guys are great and deserve everything they get. But this guy along with the union exec. board use it as his cash cow. The Correction Officers of Suffolk County deserve better and they should have better. If this is not a conflict I don't know what is. You can only hope that this September someone with some backround steps forward to lead the GOP. Lord knows we need it. All the good people are in the bunker hiding until things clear. I know there are good people.
