Town of North Hempstead Evicts over 30 people from 1 House

Suffolk County Executive Levy is not the only elected official to start clamping down on illegal and dangerous housing.

In Westbury over 30 people were evicted from a slumlords house but they did have aprox. 7 days to look for other housing.

Nobody should feel sorry for them. The tenants lived here for 15 years. 15 years and they still can't speak english. They never attempted to adapt. They lived all bunched up like cattle why? In 15 years even an ex-con can manage to pull it together or is smart enough to move somewhere else in the country (or outside the country) where they can afford to live.
But Levinson must be upset because apparently he had re-classified it as a commercial property and was pulling in lotsa tax money for it - while allowing the conditions to continue and failing to inspect it until a neighbor finally insisted somebody do something.
But wait until Suozzi decides YOUR HOUSE is in his way of his revitalization plans. It's only a matter of time.
