View Full Version : RHODES SITED IN S. BELLMORE
EXECOFFICER
06-29-2005, 02:04 PM
In a bizarre reversal of Barry Goldwater's sage political advice to "Go Hunting Where The Ducks Are", David Rhodes, R/C-Wantagh, candidate for the 19th LD was spotted waddling wastfully along Liberal/Democrat rich Lee Place in South Bellmore this past Saturday afternoon.
Wonder what his message was, I'm one of you?
Must be following the GOP Executive Leader Weiss' advice - someone who couldn't campaign himself out of a paper bag.
If this is where the candidate is spending his time, I foresee the following result: Mike Carroll!

Looks like Steve Rhodes is reaching out and campaigning even in Democratic strongholds, if this is true. Which could be trouble for Denenberg. Steve knows and understands County government. He is a persuasive guy and appears to be coming of age in this campaign. Denenberg is a scandalized politician, a Democrat in a long line of recently scandalized Democrats. Indeed, a few more big Democratic scandals in Mineola involving the County Executive or County Comptroller, and Denenberg's criminal record could become more of a factor in a hotly contested local election. Look for the big change in the County Municipal Union election and the new whistleblower to embolden rank in file employees to report on the misconduct of Democratic appointees, particularly those from the City. Suozzi cannot run away or hide from his corrupt staffing practices forever, and Democrats who stand close to Mr. Suozzi cannot expect to be unaffected by the dirt blown their way from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Floors of One West Street.
David Denenberg's criminal conviction places hims alongside Bob Asti, Pete Sylver, and the DWI Suozzi hacks as those we know are bad beyond a reasonable doubt. Goodbye Dave.

Denenberg copped to a misdemeanor. Accordingly, he has a criminal record. End of story. To cast aspersions at other is harmful, wrong, and stupid. Denenberg is an experienced lawyer and public official. He should have known better, and frankly should have been held to a higher standard than some young, inexperienced, or even blue collar volunteer.
It is inaccurate and simply libelous to alleged twenty two or more "of our people" can "match" Denenberg's record if none have been convicted of a crime, other than the occasional volunteer who is overly aggressive in petition gathering. This has happened in the past on both sides of the aisle, and individuals have been indicted, convicted, sentenced, and humiliated in the newspapers. Most haven't been the beneficiaries of the sweetheart kind of deal enjoyed by Mr. Denenberg. Several years ago, a young GOP lawyer was put through the gauntlet under similiar circumstances. Frankly, it disgusts me that in the earlier case, a relatively obscure individual had to perform significant community service to atone for her sins, while Denenberg gets sentenced by a Democratic Judge who merely slapped his feminine wrists.
And learn how to spell, moron, the word is indict. When the District Attorney presents a formal accusation he indicts someone. When you put pen to paper and write silly things on a web site, you indite a post.

THAT'S WHAT MIKE CARROLL THOUGHT.
THAT'S WHY MIKE MIROTZNIK WAS NOMINATED.
WHEN ARE YOU POLITICAL INCOMPETENTS GOING TO GET IT. YOU DON'T WIN IN A REPUBLICAN DISTRICT BY CAMPAIGNING AMONG DEMOCRATS.
DAVID WEISS MUST BE RUNNING THE CAMPAIGN.

If you're a Republican, stop being a p*ssy and run your own damned race. If you're a Democrat, then I sense that you are afraid of an upset in this race. Go Steve!

There'll be no upset. No one works harder than Denenberg as a legislator. Even registered republicans will vote for him.

Democrats and Republican "stealth democrats" will stay home this November as all the Suozzi scandals become public. The Denenberg cycle ends in 2005, as it began in 1999, compelled by forces which are bigger than himself.

If you learn how to spell words like "neophyte," perhaps maybe some day you'll be able to get a job in the real word, jackass.
