Frank Tinari is a stand up guy - unlike the last conservative leader who did what Petrone told him to do and wound up in jail

The disfunction of the party has been on open display for the better art of ten years. numerous attempts to purge the party of brain dead leadership has gone nowhere. and never will.

school district will be squeezed with new students but less tax revenue for them

Petrone and his dem crew have just downzoned houses that are single family to be allowed to become two family even if they are on top of next door neighbors house a few feet away, the house is still taxed as single-family

Petrone and his cronies on the town board also want even more accessory apartments in houses that are single family-so they are going to lower the frontal property requirements from 70' across to only 50' across-this will be a tremendous burden to school districts and taxpayers who don't rent for these houses will be taxed as single family houses although in reality they are two or more families

All eight Huntington school districts should sue the beejeebees out of Huntington townboard and Supervisor Frank Petrone-the most anti-school district town government ever

Yet on the side of the YIMBY people Yes In My Backyard pro Avalon Bay were some people whose backyards are not in Huntington Station but in West Hills on 5 acres of land next to a county park. You can't dismiss that sleazy affordable housing activist Ken Christensen remains close to both Sneden and Petrone and was the Huntington Chamber of Commerce president right before Sneden. Christensen has helped bring more destruction to Huntington's school district than anyone by decimating the taxbase of single family houses. Slumlords do love him just like Petrone.

The selections for candidates was done out in the open for all to see. The only people who were annoyed are Wong and Lifson who did not get the nomination. Input was asked by party leaders from all committee people to who they thought screened the best and they were given rating sheets to rate various strengths and weaknesses of the candidates. The executive committee
board than used these ratings to determine who would be the best candidates. Prior to this it didn't matter for under the old regime it was the old boys network and behind closed doors. Toni T. gets high marks for turning this around. Lifson and Wong can raise as much stink as they want to, it was a fair and honest and open process.
