Looks like the revolution is devouring itself. Amazing how time and time again, one Suozzi hack manager after another with ties to New York City falls on his or her face in terrible scandal. How many more folks like Sylver, Bob Asti, Klein, Shomwa, Lorna Goodman, Liz Botwin, Glen Borin, Peter Reinharz, Craig Love, and Klein will it take before this government crumbles to the ground. Each scandal is more sickening than the next. And yes, the fish stinks from the head, Mr. Suozzi. You have quite possibly assembled the most ethically challenged and morally bankrupt management teams since Caligula sat on the Roman throne. How many more Love Patios will we tolerate? How many more disbarred lawyers in positions of trust? How many more peppermint patties will be purchased on taxpayer funded credit cards? Read the LI Press attached here. This is sickening. Deputy County Executive Resigns Under Cloud

Deputy County Executive Michael Klein resigned from his Nassau County post earlier today, June 28, the Press has learned. It was not immediately clear whether the resignation was voluntary or forced.



Klein, an official recruited from New York City and charged with overseeing Nassau parks, has been in the hot seat since revelations last week that two parks employees were paid inordinate salaries for low-level jobs. He said he was "shocked and outraged" by the revelations about one employee in particular, Shomo Shamapande, who appears to have falsified his time sheets.



"As a result of this violation of my trust," Klein wrote in his resignation letter to County Executive Thomas Suozzi, who hired Klein from New York City about two years ago, "my capacity to properly represent you and the people of Nassau County has been compromised."



The Republican legislative minority has said deputy county executive recruited other out-of-county residents to work in his department under similarly generous terms. Klein himself earns more than $130,000 annually.



Suozzi, for his part, released a somewhat peculiar statement praising Klein while accepting his resignation.



"While it doesn't appear that Mike Klein did anything wrong," the county executive wrote, "it appears that he didn't manage this individual as carefully as he should have, and for that there are no excuses."

I believe Klein and the other NYC hacks were allegedly hired for fundraising and to help organize the 5 boros for Tommy Boy's 2006 statewide run; how's that working out guys? Yet the rumors are STILL that "Mr Change-NY" is STILL gonna primary Spitzer! He has no shame, only ambition. Peterson can run a great commercial with the photos of all the ethiclly challenged Suozzi appointees who resigned/ were pushed. Then again Mondello won't be able to give him the money because its all going to Kate Murray.
