Its is a certainty that Rocco Ianarelli will be on the primary ballot for County Clerk. He has withstood all attempts by the party to prevent him from succeeding in his petition effort. Even party insiders will conceed that all their dirty tricks - using both carrots and sticks - have failed to prevent him from obtaining the necessary signitures.
The question now is do they throw Trish Farrell overboard (they are expects are doing that to people) by allowing her to withdraw or do they send her to a primary battle with little resourses.
You can bet the party will not be willing to waste resources needed for November in a senseless primary battle that they would likely lose. They complained two years ago when they wasted $60,000 dollars in primaries. They will need much more to succeded this time.
This time they are running against an very well liked elected offical who is respected thoughtout the Democratic party. And although JJ may have been able to force the party faithful to walk her petitions he will have no control on how they vote come election day.
Lets watch and see how they hang this young lawyer out to dry after promising her the world. Watch out Miss Farrell JJ and TS's fingerprints are on many knifes now in the backs of former "Team Suozzi's" loyalist. Don't let yourself be their next victim.
