Early polling, including Newsday, shows Levy with a 30 pt. lead. ITS OVER!

Rumors abound that the 30 point spread between Levy and Nassau's Cunningham is the best Halpin's guy is doing in a number of polls. It will narrow. But no amount of money is going to allow Halpin's puppet to make up a gap that wide. I am sure even Halpin knows that. Newsday kinows there is big trouble for Cunningham or the editorial board would not have gone out with their no-big-surprise endorsement 2 and a half weeks early. Newsday, which is really pushing its journalistic credibility, has been practically running the Cunningham campaign and the paper wanted to try and light a fire for Cunningham. It won't work. Cunningham is way too far behind in the polls and Nassau Billy ought to go the way of Andrew Cuomo (that other Halpin brilliant idea). Quit before the primary date, Bill, just like Andrew did. Then maybe you can escape with some dignity and the Dems won't be too angry at you for causing everyone to waste some money. Try to be a healer, Bill, not a divider.

No, colonel, there is no poll out there. The only "pole" is the one shoved up the arse of the previous two posters. The 30pt. spread they talk about is from a poll taken of Steve, his Mommy, and a typical Suffolk Democratic voter.
What you have is a typical, knee-jerk, fearful reaction of the inevitable. The talk circulating among Democrats is of Cunningham being the better man for the job, plain and simple. The fear and loathing coming out of Sayville is palpable, and there is practically no way to stem the tide. The only solace for Levy is that it will all be over soon. A little more than two weeks before he can begin the dissection of what went wrong.

The truth is, the party will stand behind Rich and vote for Levy. He's proven himself in Suffolk County, and is one of us. Bill seems like a nice guy, and if he wanted to replace Suozzi in Nassau, fine. But in Suffolk, Steve will get all the support. Period.

He is one of us? What the heck does that mean? The only Suffolk Dems getting "behind Rich" are the ones (which I'm guessing includes you) who have been threatened they'll lose their county jobs if Levy loses. Newsflash: Rich is not running. And relax, your jobs are safe. Fortunately, there are not a lot of you and more rank and file Democrats who can make up their minds without being told what to do.
The truth is, the more Democrats who go out and vote on Primary Day, the better it is for Bill Cunningham. Try and digest that piece of truth. Should tell you something.

ever wonder why BC has never, as far as I can find, directly linked a criticism of the condition of this county to gaffney?
could it be the fact that gaffney is going to work for BC's old law firm? Could it be he doesn't want to damage gaffney's ability to bring in clients?
when it comes time to can those responsible what will he do when gaffney say's "oh no bill don't fire him."?
whose side is he on anyway?

cunningham hasn't been involved at MSEK in over two years. he has ZERO input as to who they hire, and once Gaffney is out of office, he will have ZERO input over the affairs at the dennison building.
in terms of blaming gaffney...what good does that do in a democratic primary election? perhaps in the general the dems can speak of republican patrongage, mismanagement and corruption, but instead of going around and blaming this one and that one for all the probelmes, BILL CUNNINGHAM not steve levy has proposed real SOLUTIONS to the problems.
elections arent a blame game, they are a competition of ideas, and its about time the democrats of this county realized that! BILL CUNNINGHAM has the best ideas, and he is getting my vote

what ideas? BC has said nothing other than the fact that he'll build a hiring hall for those who work off the books. making suffolk taxpayers make up the difference. Oh, here's one of his ideas: holding a press conference with Gaffney budget people. Says alot about "new ideas".
let's add he has no plan to get county cars under controll. his answer to that: Don't blame Gaffney blame Levy. Huh? now THAT does not compute!
and to the post about his old law firm. do you REALLY think he's had no contact/imput with Tommy's Daddy's firm? Or has no intentions of returning there.
BC is way too close to the Republicans than I care for. Whic is why I'll say results:
60/40 Levy.

Wow. Cunningham "has no plan to get county cars under control?" Oh, @#%$. What shall we do without a 36-point plan to control county cars? Anarchy, I tell you. I am definitely changing my vote. Thanks for the information.
Now, step away from the keyboard, polish your tooth and go watch "Elimidate," will you please?
