The College has been seperated from the County. What does that mean for college employees? No one seems to know. Alan Schnieder announced the college employees are just that college employees and cannot lateral to any other County civil service positions. Now all College employees are "title specific" ex. College Clerk typist 1 . So under what terms are college employees employed ? The old contract negotiated under AME? Does the Taylor Law protect the employees? Does AME have any negotiating right with the College? Are the employees being represented at all?
All three campuses have violated employment laws , contract law, civil service law and every employee knows it. There is a big hush about all the improper practices because people fear losing thier jobs.
AME sold out the College with JJF , the sick policy, the medical, etc. It is all who's butt you kiss, who you are related to, and keeping your mouth shut while the corruption builds up around your ears.
This practice of toleration has to stop. Your fear is going to cost you your job and your County. The corruption by the corrupt trickles down to the worker and then the media calls for the workers pension!!!! Its go time . Stand up , speak out protect each other, fight for what is right. I will wait to hear from you before my next post, then I will expose some of the corruption.

This all began in March 2009 when the Legislature and the County agreed to grant full autonomy to the College. The College then filed for separate employer status from the IRS and it was granted.

College employees CAN lateral to County positions and County employees CAN lateral to College positions. But neither can promote to one another as Civil Service law prevents promotions between separate employers. That is the only downside.

No titles have changed, no terms of employment have changed, employees at the College remain covered by all terms of the AME contract with all benefits intact. The College employees are protected by the Taylor law, Triborough Doctrine and Civil Service Law. AME has negotiating rights pending the CSEA challenge.

These are the real facts.

why is ame facing another challenge? why did ame interfere against college employees with the last buy out the county offered? the college did not have to lag thier payroll but ame said they had to to be fair! but ame said the college employees can be left out of the early retirement.

Is it true that (civil service head) Alan Shnieder's son has been hired to the College for thier legal office?

I'm not sure about whether it's the legal office, but he has been hired at a six figure salary.
