Deputies had arrested an individual for vtl related offenses and cpcs 5. The subject your referring to was not beaten but past away due to a past injury. As for District, listen guy, district was our worst detail a dep could work. ITS YOUR BEST. And there are 19 deps and 3 sgts assigned to district court trans. Thats almost as many co's assigned there. My point is as much as you say Tisch gave you District court, its not the case. He gave you the worst part. Your still doing the worst job down there. However, I understand why COs are not exactly happy with Vinny running. I wouldn't exactly be out there knocking on doors for Vito if it was the other way around. But I hope nobody reads these posts and take what is being said as the gospel truth. We can be anyone saying anthing on these posts. Some of the claims made about what Vinny has said have been outlandish. I say, if you want to know the truth, ask the man yourself. He is very approachable and more than willing to discuss the issues. Then make your choice.

As long as you relize that it is the union and not the majority of C/Os doing the bad mouthing. I'm a C/O for close to twenty years now, seen the good and the bad but in the past as now I have nothing against the Deputies. They took their test, got their jobs and do their jobs. I took the C/O test and like the majority of C/Os I also do my job and I'm proud of my chosed profession. Just be aware that it is only a very small percentage of C/Os that bad mouth Deps and I'm sure it is the same on your end. It is just that they are the ones you hear because the rest of us keep our mouth or keyboards quiet. If in fact our union ahs tried to block your 20 or contract than that is bullsh*t and you have every right to be mad but please direct it in the proper direction which you seem to be doing. I'm a C/O with over 18 years on the job and I for one both like and respect the Deps. Again it is just a few with big mouths on both sides that make life difficult. I have quite a few good friends who work as Deps. I always got along. I remember years back working the holding pen on 3-11 and the Deps from the duty office would always call us ask us if we wanted food ice cream etc or sometimes they would just show up at the back door with a pizza for the hell of it. Never forgot that never will. That is the majority of the C/O's and deps relationship. I have gone to thier retirement parties I have fished with them and shared a beer. So please don't make a blanket statement that all C/O's bash Deps same as I won't make a statement that all Deps bash C/O's. I am a corrections officer this is the job I accepted and kept. We are what we are and we cross paths often enough to work together. Thank you!!!

Tisch was a major block in us getting our contract. He wanted to implement a cap on OT. Once u were at that cap, it was up to him if you cuold work any further OT hours. He wanted our ot to be given out based on seniority, and if your a C/O u know that sucks. He is not manage well and took his position as a hobby. He couldnt care less about u or me.

I read this site every three or four days - just for some good laughs. Two - thirds of those posting here cant spell, another third thinks grammar is grandpa's wife. Stop the noise from both sides. It does nothing but make each of us look ridiculous, both Deps and Co's. Each of the jobs have their own agendas, let each carry out its mandate and whoever wins the Sheriff's race will win. Any way you slice it the Deps will still have to deal with Lord Farquat, (Kerry Kneitel) and Captain Crunch, (Sullivan), and the CO's will still have at least the Skunk Head, (Murphy). If you dont know Vin Demarco then you shouldn't assume anything, especially where he stands on different issues etc. I know the guy since he came on the job. The fact that he became Union President so early in his career indicates the amount of trust the people who work with him have for him. I understand that Corrections Officers will be hesitant to support him, and I don't blame you. BUT - do you really think the current guy is such a rosy path for you to follow? You must certainly know he is a vindictive punk by now. With what he has done recently I'm sure a lot of CO's are eager to support him. But think about this, we - (the Deps), supported him last election. In less than three years the polish wore off his act and we realized what he was all about - HIM
