Which License Is Best

I have heard many people say how they hate the new New York State License plates which really are the same color scheme they had a few decades ago.Burn't orange background with black letters/nos looks horrible on many vehicles. Especially those vehicles which are very light in color. What bureaucrat came up with the idea to switch the coloring scheme back to an earlier time when almost everyone was happy to see it go ?

What you should ask is why the assholes in this once Great State charge more to get those new plates.
$110 to reregister keeping plates used now.
$135 to get new plates.
$155 to get new plates with my 'old' plate numbers/letters.
People have no money and they pull this crap.
And yes, they are ugly plates.

the plates that were white with blue letters and numbers and with the statue of liberty in red were the best

The state is in a financial crisis. Thus, the change. I don't like it any more than you. The orange is awful, but it generates money for the state. I especially think it is awful when the orange is pitted against a red car, yuck. Oh well. Change is the wheel that keeps on giving. People like new things. I will wait until the last possible moment thank you.

The state isn't alone in it's financial crisis. If I can save $45 and keep my old plates, I'll take it. Makes no sense charging me more. How about they just issue them out through attrition?
Bad enough they charged me almost $300 to register my truck. But I did get the blue and white plates. Thanks, Dave.

You can always move to a state with prettier license plates, if that is what is really bothering you enough to post it on a forum like this.
