I would add Tom Barraga and Tom Cilmi to the list of legislators doing the right thing and acting conservatively in these tough times. Even D'Amaro - a democrat - is more fiscally conservative than Kennedy and Romaine.

Every single Day Levy is in there fighting for the taxpayers, cutting spending, slowing bureaucratic growth. And that is why he rankles "the establishment" so much. That is why its been reported that privately Andrew Cuomo told people this spring, the only candidate he feared was Steve Levy. He is the future of the GOP in Suffolk on Long ISland and in New York, and not for any other reason than that he is focused like a laser on the Bottom Line. Our taxes. He knows government cant spend what it doesnt have. And it cant take any more from the people. It's as simple as that

Actually Stevie is the main reason Suffolk has weathered this fiscal disaster better than most NY state counties, but he really could be less abrasive, but lord help us if Lindsay got what he wanted, we'd be sunk. stevie just needs to be less shrill, a kinder , gentler Stevie would go a long way

Lets see ,Crime is up!The county work force is cut in half and still our county tax dollars pay for each and every position that is vacant !No tax increase?Yea at what cost?Less police more staff at his office,county services are in desire need.Trying to dump a 100 yearold nursing home by giving the public wrong numbers..Yea Steve is just wonderful..Lets see in November what the public thinks,This time no cross endorsments.

THAT is about the funniest thing I have read on here EVER. Steve Levy is a self centered, whatever -it -takes -to get- me- elected -even if-its -a-lie hack that has not a friend left on EITHER side of the aisle, aside from LaValle.

Focusing like a laser on the bottom line explains why he didnt see the gangs running amok and the bodies piling up and how he now has the Sheriff saying that he 'thought' he could handle the job on the highways but now admits his lack of resources has made 'traffic enforcement difficult' on the two MAIN thouroughfares in Suffolk., and suddenly everyone is so shocked that drunks are driving the wrong way all over the Sunrise and Expressway.
And thats just for starters. Would LOVE to know what was in the pages he 'edited' out of the report on immigrants in Suffolk....

C'mon, if the facts don't fit, make them up? County work force is down maybe 10%, yes , some county services are in need, but the general public doesn't want to pay more. Most people feel unloading a nursing home from the county budget is a good thing, politicians on BOTH sides screwed this transition up so royally, if done properly most of the employees could have been protected.
Stevie is self centered selfish and abrasive, he is not conducive to real negotiations, but overall the general public is supportive and it will be a very combatitive race for CE. But it is far to early to tell, so much can happen.

The taxes that are going up are your school taxes, Stevie can't help you there, politicians don't create jobs, the private sector does, and Stevie is pro business, and any good republican likes "smaller government", sounds like you are a Stevie fan after all.
