Far to many people with income and assests are robbing their neighbors blind with medicaid entitlements. These same people are transferring homes, bank funds and other assests into immediate family members names so they can reach into their neighbors pocket for their hospital, extended care and nursing home placement. To add insult they're bilking their neighbors for money to pay rent on a family owned home, 24 hour home care and a host of other goodies while you the poor schmuck pay the bill at the end of each and every month.

Its not the people without health insurance using medicaid for health care that is killing the county - its the damned drug addicts. We pay for their needles and their methadone, we pay their transportaiton back and forht to get their meth - they save in theri cheeks & spit it out and sell it. why are we paying for druggies to get off heroine and get on meth - they never clean up. I say lock em up till they sober up and arrest them for public drugeness - another bandwagon for the rice crew to jump on. that'll decreas medicaid costs a whole bunch.

Yes. Because there is big demand there. WHile I find what many of these people do distastefull not sure if I am now willing to pay 4 times the amount in taxes for the State to take them. Kindof like my friends who are real anti Immigration ( I could care less ) but have heartfailure when I talk about raising Federal TAxes inorder to give the ICE the tools and numbers they need to address the problem.

Yes , these grandparents are getting paid by welfare to take care of thier grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. They actually support themselves with all the welfare money they get.

All because the parents of these children are incapacitated in that they are drug addicts , crack heads, etc. What amazes me is the court gives custody to the grand parents after they f'd up and raised these drug addicts, criminals, etc. and now they are getting a chance to raise more no morals losers.

Remember years ago when NYC said DSS would fingerprint the skells? The rights groups all moaned about "Their Dignity" being offended. It went through and the welfare rolls plummeted as the skells could no longer have multiple identities.

Not only should there be more scrutiny, but drug testing should be in order, not only for welfare, but for those collecting unemployment. I know there are legitimate needs, but it's time to trim the fat, and the parasites have got to go!

You may have something there. Once someone becomes established in ANY line of work, they are less likely to throw it away for drugs. There are always exceptions, but it should drive down the demand considerably.
