Never shows up anywhere in the GOP. Could this be the year he finally formalizes his allegiance to the Democratic Party? Dare we think he'll just go away after the term limit expires?

06-13-2005, 11:44 PM
he's riding with Pancho Vila's Old gang down South
Do you mean "Where it Tonna Politically?" or "Where is Tonna Physically?" Politically he is somewhere to the left of Mao Tse Tung. Physically he is anywhere he can avoid his constituents at all times, excepting the time he spends being rude to them.
Ho hummmm

Alright Bronloser, we know. Just add him to the enemies list.
Good Soldier

Being on the Black family's enemies list doesn't take a lot of effort. Tonna surpassed that mark long ago. The question here is a good one. Where is our lame duck?

Is he really supporting Frank Petrone? Or is he just not supporting the party?
Paul hasn't supported the party in ages if ever
he has openly stated he would be a staunch liberal democrat except for the right to life controversy which he is adamantly pro-life and could never accept anything different
but his stance has been to help big government get even bigger
and it's easy for him to knock those in middleclass neighborhoods on social issues as you live in pristine West Hills on acre of land with your multi acred neighbors like Tonna does
How did he get nominated by the GOP to begin with? Was it the same group that nominated the Democrat Petrone?

It's always a little suspicious when the bleeding hearts alight from their Mercedes after a long drive to the hood to aid the poor. If they care so much why not downsize and give the rest away? It probably just feels better to give other people's money away instead of yours.

A real Republican puts his money where his mouth is. Tonna puts his mouth wherever it needs to be to get where the money is. You'll never see it costing him a penny - politcally or financially.

Reply It's not about picking Winners
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's about picking the right candidate whether they have a chance of winning or not. To pick a candidate soley on that fact they will most likely win an election, is not conducive for good politics or government.
If a party stands by it's principles and supports those candidates that meets those principles, the public will eventually come to know and respect what your party stands for. A good party knows how to win, but just as importantly they know that to give up your principles for a win is in the long run, no win at all.
One good example of this is Republican Paul Tonna Suffolk County Legislator.
He has done more harm to the Republicans than any Democrat could possibly dream of. If the party had kept to their principles they never would have supported him for a second term. Because the Republicans kept him because he could win an election, Paul Tonna helped the Democrats to bury the Republicans in Huntington and Suffolk County.
